    Over 2.5 I like Thousand Stars. Good run last year over track and trip and will be twice the price of Oscar Whisky. That'll be good enough for me.

    Oscar Whiskey the best 2 1/2 miler there is atm. Not quick enough for 2m but not enough stamina for 3m, just a shame there arent more races for him!- I was on him last years @ 10/1 and although this year he is dramtically shorter I am still on him @ 4's

    Plus this will be his last season over the hurdles, he will be going chasing next year from what I heard earlier in the year. I wonder what price he wil be for the arkle next year?

    Agree with Zen there. Simonsig could be good over fences.

    You don't agree with me at all. Simonsig will be a monster over fences.

    <laugh>

    On a more serious note, his jumping was pretty shoddy in his Points so does need to improve in that area. I trust that Henderson will get him schooled up nicely.

    Zen - don't panic old Yogi Bear will be down a Seven Barrows to school him....

    Oscar would be very interesting at 2m over fences though.

    Agree. He has been over hurdles a long time though which would be a concern. I just don't think he's as good as Simonsig, and, more importantly, neither does Henderson. <cheers>

    Where has Henderson said he's not as good as Simonsig?

    Could Simonsig run 3rd in a Champion Hurdle, and win an Aintree hurdle? He may well apear to have alot of talent, but he hasn't proved that talent at the highest level yet.

    We wont know anything until we've seen both horse's jump a fence, but if they are both Arkle bound, then Oscar Whisky warrants as much respect as Simonsig:biggrin:

    Id be quite happy if they stopped the Grand National altogether Stick, it's far to dangerous, and let's be honest most racing enthusiasts, like ourselves don't realy care for it much anyways. I'm far more interested in the group races at Aintree than I am the GN:biggrin:

    Just written similar on the daily thread shergs. It's a handicap I like to solve. Would I miss it? There are plenty of other quality handicaps throughout the year!
