G&T Pimms No. 5, with lemonade , ice and a little mint , but only if Im sitting out on the lawn or , occasionally , pavillion. An unoaked chardonnay on a hot, still afternoon ,served in a wide tumbler NOT in a wine glass , thats just so declasse A fine Rioja in the evening As you would perhaps expect , the scots drinking reputation still holds strong in the colonies here ; many an australian has asked me about scottish beer consumption...I always give them the same answer ; "beer is for amateurs"
Thought long and hard before posting this on a forum mainly populated by Scots, but Jim Beam and lemonade is the one for me (I know, I know!), but I'm also partial to the odd decent real ale. Drink scotch too, mainly Glenfiddich, but my favourite one I've ever tried was a particularly nice limited edition Glenfarclus.
Jim Beam is a quality drink. with coke and fresh lime. move onto them once you're bagged up from all the lager
Badger brewery is excellent. Have you tried their Blandford Fly? Not easy to get hold of but Sainsbury's sell it. Slow gin - make that too. Bramble whisky - always get a bottle or two to see me over Christmas and New Year.
