In a radio interview Poll said that (in my words)

a ref was LESS likely to give a decision for a BIG club as the media scrutiny could damage the refs career.
He basically was saying that refs had to be 110% sure

Whereas at smaller clubs with smaller games the pressure was less

Kind of goes against the whole ref conspiracy theory?

The refs want big games so don't upset the big names.

Btw: Is Ashley Ok? we're all really worried about him

Graham Poll is hardly the most reliable source for this kind of thing. He changes his view pretty much every month depending on what will be most controversial at the time. In many ways it makes him the perfect Daily Fail columnist...

    Referees favour big clubs:

    Wait, no they don't:
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...trick-Vieira-wrong-referees--Graham-Poll.html

    Oh yes they do:
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...Marriners-big-mistake-saved-Gary-Neville.html

Yes they do, but they don't know they're doing it:

And now they apparently favour the smaller clubs. The man does more U turns than a politician...

Of course they don't; they have no influence at all. None at all

    They favour no clubs.

The possible to football and the FA in England would be far to big a thing to risk. Look at Italy. It would ruin english football completely.

If the refs were purposely giving decisions to any club over another then sometime in the next decade we can all say goodbye to football.

That people, is why every single moron who claims any club get favourable decisions should be shot out of a cannon into a cliff......because......ITS ****ING STUPID.

Met Graham Poll once. Arrogant sod but you'd expect that. Nice enough guy though. I would say that he has no club bias at all. He had opinions on players ie he thought Roy Keane was hard work but he respected him as it was clear Keano was all about the game, his team and the club. He even had good things to say about the annoying but likeable Savage. In fact there was only one player who he really didn't like. No prizes for guessing that it was John Terry. That guy is some prick.

One of the game's worst ever refs now does an even worse job at being an article writer. Some achievements by that bastard. Bet he went in his changing room and cried like a bitch after Jose revealed some home truths to him.

I've always been intrigued by the term "plastic supporter". Can you explain this to me please?
