Thought Bertrand was one of our top players tonight.

It's unreal how much of a mess our squad is. £50 mill heap of crap and that's not including Torres.

Edit- Oh yeah, Bertrand over Cole anyday. Really good player

Interestingly the two footed 'tackle' that did for Bale in the last minute at Sunderland on Saturday was described everywhere as a brilliantly timed challenge or similar. One paper had a picture captioned 'great tackle' which clearly showed Bale had been fouled.

    * please also note I didn't mention Frank in connection with any phrase in this post:emoticon-0148-yes:

We need Romeu in there to move the ball quicker. Mikel has done well of late but with him in the side we're too slow on the break. Kalou is ****ing garbage & the odd "important" goal from the ****er just isn't good enough. His performance today was no different from his performance in Portugal apart from his tap in.
With our run in I think we're screwed as the players coming in are just not good enough (Bertrand apart) and our regulars are knackered.

We need two pacey wide players and a couple of intellignt, footballing midfielders. Romeu as the holding player and get Torres in a central role, playing on the last defender. Why the hell do we need 2 holding players?

There is something unnerving about Ivanovix- why is he hiding balloons down the back of his shorts?

Just found out. Last night was the TWENTIETH game this season in which we have conceded a goal in the last 10 minutes of the match. - Not very good is it?

Afternoon gents, we were dog ****e yesterday but our defending was top quality. After seeing their goal on TV it appears they got a little lucky!

The problem is still our midfield, we need to forget Lamps against Barca as he'll get torn apart. Stick Ramires and Mikel in the middle (I'm not a fan of sticking our best central midfielder on the wing) behind Mata with Sturridge and Kalou on the wings. Kalou had a mare first half yesterday but I was impressed with him in the 2nd.

I think it will be Ramieres out wide again. Robby doesn't trust Sturridge to defend and against Barca we will be doing a lot of that!!

Yeah, but we don't want to just be defending for two legs. We're the underdogs so we may aswell have a go.

Sturridge has been one of our best players this year so it'd be wrong to show him gratitude by just leaving him out :(

Lamps will start against Barca. He shouldn't, but he will.

One of his quotes after last night's game:

Translation: "I like Robbie cos he plays me when I tell him to. I don't like AVB cos he didn't."

I'd also question why on earth JT was playing last night. It smacks of the senior players getting their way again. He clearly wasn't fit as he didn't fancy a physical challenge all night long (and we were lucky that Fulham really let him off lightly on that front), and if he tries to stand off his man and rely on his reading of the game against Barca then we'll be ripped to pieces. We've just got to hope that his ribs miraculously heal themselves in the next 8 days I suppose. <doh>
