A complete failure. Couldn't even muster a top 10 finish! Iâm thoroughly pissed off with the way we have gone over recent seasons. Next season better be a whole lot better, otherwise it wonât be Rovers Iâll be worrying about, it will be about me weighing up which is better, shopping with the misses or watching Manure/Arse hole on the feckin tele. Bottom half of the worst division in English professional football, and gates are getting smaller and smaller. Looks like Iâm not the only one getting pissed off with it either. We are, and have been ****e for **** knows how long and it's gradually taking its toll now. I can't pretend I can justify spending 20 quid (sometimes my last 20 quid!) to watch a poor footballing side disintegrate in front of my very eyes. The 40/60 quid a month I spend on football (not a season ticket holder) could be used to steady my finances and buy me some beers on the weekend. At least I would get something back from it! MM had better make me believe early on next season, otherwise I just might miss the rest of the season, and seasons after that, whilst pursuing another hobby. Many have done it before me, and many will likely do it after me as well. Rant over.
Never mind Chris, you could be like Jenny who's had to put up with Division 4 crap for as long as she can remember. And they'll probably bottle it again. Yes, again! I kind of understand where you're coming from and I too have become a tad disillusioned with our inability to compete over the past few years. However, there are positive signs: 1, At last an experienced manager. 2, The very real possibility of a new stadium which will help us to attract better players and increase club revenues. 3, We can't get much worse, unless we get relegated next season!!! The thing about Rovers is that there is enormous latent support for the club. It would only take a season or two of relative success to see all those disillusioned supporters flood back and cheer on the side. And with increased attendances comes increased revenues, the ability to attract better players etc. The whole thing becomes a virtuous circle. We should give MM a chance to do his thing next season - I don't think that L2 will be particularly strong - Fleetwood coming up, Chesterfield, Wycombe, Exeter etc coming down. Hopefully we can get a decent start instead of the total ****e that the idiot Buckle inflicted upon us in the first half of this season - he damaged the club and we are still suffering from his failed reign. Chin up lad!
And don't forget bar Plymouth you are the worst side from the South West Come over to the Red side Chris you know you want to, make your other half proud to be seen with you in a nice red football shirt
See Chris. A couple of wins and the Fickle Teds are world beaters again. Would you ever want to be associated with such a travesty? Oh dear, oh dear.
How am I'm fickle, I renewed my season ticket before the games this weekend? Just giving my blue friend Chris an escape route. Not you though Bluebaldee you can stay with your team. Reading your comments regarding McGee having contacts, true but I would be concerned about the wage bill ****le (I liked him) has left you with, you could see yourselfs like us for a few seasons unable to get the players in due to the squad being to big. Just a thought you know more about your teams finances than I do
I have no idea how Jenny and AJ have put up with this ****e league for so long! I hated it for the 6 years we were in this division before and i didn't go half the time anyway as I was a poor student , and this season has been just as bad. Even being top of the league would be a bore fest really, playing Shrewsbury and co week in week out We have only suffered what, 7 seasons in this league in our history. Shrewsbury are at their dizzy heights so its all good for them As for your points, MM is experienced and has looked good in some games, and not so good in the others (the team he played yesterday, and the tactics looked poor and the squad was full of defenders). I'm happy to put that down to experiments with the squad this season so that he can make a true judgement on the current players abilities and get rid of those who don't look up to it. I hope next season he gets in what is required and we start with a bang. The new stadium looks solid and a real possibility, but I shall not get excited about it until im sat in it. Too many false dawns in Rovers history would show I am right in being that way.... I hope for our future it comes through though We definately can't get much worse you are right. However, we could be in a similar position this time next season, so really hope MM is the man. I like him, he is a decent bloke and has great knowledge, but we all know how it works at Rovers. Big names rarely work, and an unknown would probably have been better suited lol. Our attendances have been poor since Rickie left, and that is because we have had no decent players to excite us, and not doing well in the league. We went from 7/8000 per game to just over 5000 in about 3 seasons, so we know our support could be much better. If we get the new stadium and have several good seasons, I dont see a reason why we couldn't get gates of 15k plus. It's just getting there that't the problem P.S ROD.... **** off
Bristol Rovers are going to be the new Bradford City. Apparently too big for this league, yet wallowing in its depths. Get use to it Chris, you're going to be here for a long time (unless demoted, of course).
c-g patience is a virtue, you got the bums rush from L1 and expected an immediate return with chuckle, even with mourhino in charge you were not good enough for promo/playoffs. be grateful mm has turned things around so you may hopefully have a promo push next season with argyle exeter etc. come on c-g irene is with you. good luck next season
what you need c-g is a pre season friendly against the all singing, bottling er sorry dancing tinpots. strawberry fields for ever. the gas have everything going for them, a new stadium on syston common. most important c-g what will you do from may until august
Chris I'm upset that you don't want to admit that you want to come down the gate and sit with us all, I'm hurt now mate Leave Bluebaldee at the Gas though, he gets angry and we don't want his sort at the gate
Bluebaldee is far to passionate for the teds ROD, thats why he wouldn't be welcomed to your library I am afraid you have mistaken me for someone else, for I have never, nor ever will have any feelings for the sheeds other than pure hatred of the nastiest kind
I don't mind congratulating the Teds when they pop up with two good results when they need them, like I did yesterday, and supporting them in their quest for a new stadium. But I draw the line at anything further. That would be just plain wrong - an insult to my integrity and intelligence, both of which I have in abundance. Therefore I could never be a Ted and nor could any right-thinking Gashead. Shame on you ROD trying to tempt Chris. Get thee behind me Satan!
Jealous of what Lan? A **** side who only just avoided relegation....I have my own team which do that.
