1 win will do it for you. That will make the gap 7 points. Do you reckon Cov are going to take 8 points from their last 4 games. They would be lucky to take 5 46 is the magic number this year
to be honest i expect them to take 6, that will be from both there home games so you may be right, but id rather we take 7 points, theres no way they will get to 50
Hopefully milwall will feel they need to get something from them when they go to the ricoh, and lets hope burnley will still feel they can reach the play offs also
John - I think Coventry will take at least 4 points from their remaining home games and I cant see Doncaster winning there and helping us out. That means we will need to win one or two of our last four games. As I've said elsewhere it would do us a lot of good if Millwall can win at Portsmouth tonight.
Portsmouth are the one that concerns me. I have Cov down as a poss 6 points extra, don't think they will beat Southampton or Burnley, think there nerves are gone with us taking the 3 yesterday to recover in time for Burnley. Portsmouth have Millwall, Palace and Derby home Coventry and Donny away, if they win their games puts Cov out of it but means they can take us with 49 points!! But if Millwall have lost to Portsmouth and Coventry they have Blackpool, Leicester home and Ipswich away can't see them beating Leicester or Blackpool so that leaves Ipswich and that could be a difficult one! Barnsley 4 points ahead have Brighton and Cardiff home 2 teams going for playoffs and us and Hull away. I think we are their easiest game so 2 wins for us could see us taking them. **** me my head is frazzled trying to work it all out. I said this before we are allowed 1 slip up and just mirror Portsmouth and Coventrys results. And we are safe.
I've worked it out Portsmouth and Coventry lose all their remaining games, Doncaster lose just 1 it don't matter what we do! We can then lose all ours and we are safe. Simples
It's also hard to predict teams like Doncaster who despite all of their highly paid mercenaries dropped nine of them yesterday and still lost...teams who have relegation confirmed often see an improvement in their results once the pressure is off so they could yet do us a favour. You never know with Portsmouth either. One week they are panning Birmingham 4-1 then they go and lose at home 1-5 to Burnley. Palace are a total waste of space at the moment, but Derby are on a roll. I think therefore for starters, I'd like to see Millwall win at Fratton Park tonight. That would put us 9 points ahead of Portsmouth with 4 games to go and will almost see them relegated along with Doncaster leaving just one relegation place to probably be decided between us and Coventry
ill quite happilt take millwall winning, they wont go down and if we can get 4 points like the tittle says were playing millwall next year

Millwall winning HAS CERTAINLY MADE IT A 4 HORSE RACE with 2 of them platers! rod.....your eureka moment almost spot on! Doncaster know that a defeat on Sat puts them down as their only hope is to win their last 4 and hope we lose ours! Pompey know they have a bonus point over BCFC with their GD SO NEED TO beat Donny (as BCFC will lose against Birmingham) A DRAW AGAINST Donny will mean they also have to win the final 3 and hope we dont draw 2 games. they play each other so one or other cant win all their games But as we all know now it is almost certain the 2 horse race is us and Coventry. We both lose Sat, next game we get a point they get 3 Played 44 2 POINTS IN IT PENULTIMATE GAME WE BOTH GET 3 POINTS...still 2 points in it FINAL GAME...THE WEMBLEY PLAY OFF ALL OVER AGAIN WE BOTH LOSE Coventry unfortunately have to play Yeovil next season!!!!!!!!!!!
Great result for Millwall last night, they are now safe which could be bad news on Saturday when they go to Coventry. We could do with Donny beating Pompey on Saturday or even a draw would suit us.
