Totally correct. Most on here said pre-game that we should have a go at United. It was clear however that Hughes chose to park the bus and I said to the bloke beside me after 5 minutes that I thought that was the wrong decision.

I still do but Col will have none of it.

Excellent point LoneRanger. Was thinking this the other day. Was also thinking that a manager may end up taking the FA to court for being fined for commenting on a ref. Surely, if post match analysis proves that the ref made a bad decision costing a team a match, then the manager may have a right to point this out. Some times all a manager does to get fined is say how poor a ref was during that match. It's just pointing out the obvious.

Because when we enter their competitions we have to play by their rules, one of them is we can't take them to court for something we have agreed to participate in.

And you'll have to seperate the FA from the Premier League, two different organs.

What's eating you up Col. Are we not able to to write a reasoned criticism of a performance on here without you telling us to get behind the team?! If we were all to sit and write how wonderfull we were all the time this forum will be pretty boring!

I agree we worked hard and defended OK, I wrote that! But our passing was appallling and when you have under 30% possession of a football in a game and are totally outplayed even with 11 men, it seems very reasonable to conclude that though we defended valiantly we were basically rubbish. United are of course a good team but certainly not unbeatable - Blackburn a strong relegation rival for one beat them this season if I remember correctly - and this seasons PL must be one of the worst in terms of quality for many years - English PL Clubs European performance confirms this.

Same old same old on here. Anyone having the nerve to question tactics or performance is immediately accused of disloyalty. What utter tosh. People need to tell the difference between an intelligent and questioning debate on these kind of sites and not giving the team your full support on match days. It's usually the people that can't make a reasoned contribution that get bent out of shape.
