Born again....I'm not defending tactics at all. I am stating that with such a high percentage of players (first choice) unavailable. We cannot expect (although hope) for more. Unless you suggest that we clone the whole team so that we have ready stand ins for e.g. Tomlin 2 for Tomlin 1........... Obita going back last week didn't help and neither has the loss of Tomlin, Lee, and all the others. Yep I agree we should have gone up as champions and with only 18% of our first team players available.(Yeah right...) Come on......this is where we have to get real rather than get carried away on a wave of negative emotion. Get behind the team AND the manager.
From what I hear the training pitch has been causing a few of the injuries so maybe a good tactic would have been to buy a lawn mower Injuries cannot help I agree but everyone gets injuries. Losing six games at home is not acceptable to me it will be seven after Swindon have visited. Hess is not that bad a manager but he is not great either. I was there when we were really rubbish in the mid 90s we have much better players now god we had some donkeys but they seemed to have more fight than that limp display we have witnessed today and too many times. Last season it was the capitulations at home to Macclesfield and Barnet I think. Next year it will be Fleetwood and Rochdale. No he's got to go
Forgive me if this sounds like I am gloating and I don't mean to, but as the Daggers only brought 300+ fans with them yesterday it means that my team (AFC Wimbledon) are still the highest attendance by the away supporters so far at Priestfield this season. It will be interesting if either Swindon or Morecambe can exceed the 1,163 total. Although the reason for our (the Dons) high turnout maybe to do with your No.9, our former skipper and the man whose penalty got us into the league - Danny Kedwell
I think the turn out by Wimbledon was amazing, they done you proud and all along I thought you would bring a lot as you are a very well followed club, when I turned up at the game I didn't look for a minute at the away crowd then I turned round had a glance and was like ****, how many have they brought, that is amazing at this level. I think it will be tough for any team to beat it, however I think there may be a chance that Swindon was just beat it by a bit as they can seal the league in the game we play them next week sadly, so they will probably want to bring a lot as they will want to gloat about and show off that they won it at our place, that is one reason why I am going as we may not be going up but we could at least delay their celebration for a week or so when they have put so much effort into bringing so many fans, however it is going to be a tough game for us but the team owe us something as they have underperformed, we have a better team this season and as it stands we sit lower down the table than last time out. I don't think the reason why you have had the most in an away game in our league is because of Kedwell, I think it is because it isn't the longest journey down to here and also that you are a very well supported club and also have to add I see you have a lot of fans from Kent who come under the name of the 'Kent Wombles', I have seen a lot of them on the train on Saturdays travelling up to your games when I have been on the train to Strood to change over to the train down to Maidstone. I very much doubt that Morecambe will beat your amount you brought because even though they are located in a decent sized area I don't believe their support away from home is that good.
