Definitely. I'm still holding out for Newcastle to secure 4th spot with Spurs 5th. In which case you lot have to let Everton win the FA Cup semi final so Chelsea don't make Europe at all next season <ok>

So basically what you're saying is Rafa's 2nd place finish in 08/09 was no better than Houllier's 4th place in 03/04? After all, the only difference was the prize money <ok>

I think you'll find we just toyed with you a wee bit after you'd already bottled it. Gave you a bit of hope and then cruelly smacked you back down to where you belong. In fact, we smacked you down so hard you haven't finished falling yet... <whistle>

You needed Macheda to get you a couple of wins (or was it a draw with Sunderland?) That guy won you the title in '09.

Turned two draws into two wins. But then had we drawn those games we'd just have put our strongest team out and embarrassed Arsenal in the second last game to win the league, just like we did in the CL that season <ok>

And Howard Webb, don't forget Howard Webb. What a horrendous decision that was against Spurs for the penalty.

I assume you mean the game we won 5-2? The one where Palacios should have walked after 6 minutes for a two footed jumping stud lunge on Ronaldo? And was that the same week Masch dived to win a freekick for LFC and Lucas got an assist with his hand?

What is it they say? Ah yes, the decisions even themselves out... <ok>

    Nibble.

Can't help yourself can you Swarbs ;)

Its like all the talk of Balotelli costing City the title? I can't see it myself, he may have had a few silly red cards, and have a generally poor attitude on the pitch BUT how did that Balotelli red card when the game was near over anyway cost them the title? His 2 goals Vs Sunderland that basically rescued a point for them not count? Or why is his red card against Arsenal when the game was nearly over considered more damaging to City's title challenge than Clichy's red card against Chelsea which cost them AT LEAST a point. That was also when their away form went to ****.

On another note just seen the Ben Arfa goal and is it weird that I wasn't that impressed? He basically ran in a straight line and went 'past' two tacklers in the process. Not as good as what I was expecting after hearing about it.

Same with me on that arfa goal was good but it was piss poor defending, especially from Ream.

You just make it too easy :) Much like your club at the moment... <ok>

Not just the red card tbh. All he did against Arsenal was lunge at players, kick the post and cock up. With Silva out and Toure injured, City needed someone to step up and lead the attacks, but Balotelli did the exact opposite all game. He might as well not have been on the pitch, I don't remember a single productive contribution all game.

Btw, I think you'll find the moment City's title challenge started to crumble was when Agent Gibson found the top corner ;)

This. Players just lunged in on him, all he had to do was knock the ball forwards at the right time and jump over the flailing legs. And not dive of course...not that many PL players could've resisted going past two wild tackles without a couple of pirouttes...

The amount of abuse Comas is allowed to use towards other users on here is ridiculous.

Bit uncalled for that pal. I'll be unleashing the Baz on you if you don't watch out.

I understand what you are saying, but he's shown up in plenty of big games before and stepped up for City. He was the one that got the two decisive goals in the 6-1 at OT plus he scored a winning penalty against Spurs. And the opening goal against Everton, via a deflection, which was a game they looked like they were going to draw until his intervention. Then the two goals against Sunderland which got City a point. And other notable goals including the opening goal against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and the equalizer against Napoli at their place which could've kept City in the tournament.

Was he poor against Arsenal? Yes, but he's won them more points this season than he's lost them this season. Plus, I think the fact Silva started tiring and Aguero got injured at the same time has cost them more than Balotelli's performance against Arsenal ever.

I'm surprised he didn't score an own goal instead after all the abuse he got off Man Utd followers <whistle>

Except honest British pros like Gareth Bale of course who's last thought would be to con a referee and try to get an opposing player booked.

Ah yes, Balotelli's winner against Spurs. He should have been sent off before that. Refs favouring City again. Disgraceful.

    morning all!

you clowns on about something or other... who cares? i'm here now so there should be a complete drop of everything you are doing and you should now entertain me seeing i'm back after my easter break.

    ..................................

    whats what wums say right?

    ..................................

Now.. city, hilarious really. Not that i care too much but seeing arsenal go back ahead of the spuds as their implosion continues is great. I have said here i thought city bottled it and lost the league as early as swansea away. I have to say mancini is looking to be sacked and paid off givne how bad soem of the things he's doing are. finally utd are simply doing just enough. they have the beleif, consistency and drive to maintain standards of work ethic whiel the others don't
