I'm not going to comment on this thread as everything I would of said has been said. ( Except that wife bit )

Norway Ranger "Somehow redeems himself, but still is of the belief that your in every right to fall like a sack of potatoes when touched in the box". It's the 89th minute tonight, QPR 1 Swans 1, your striker goes into the box, gets touched and falls like a sack of spuds. Do you accept the penalty or do you say "No thank you Sir, he dived?".
Accept the penalty! I'd still call our player a cheat afterwards. I don't think United fans are cheats because Young is, I wouldn't have expected them to not welcome the awful decision.
Of course I'd take the pen! Doesn't mean I have to agree with it, in my opinion you don't have the right to go down for the faintest of touches if you can stay on your feet.
All Just calm down and think out of the Box... Mark Bowen has simply stated what ALL of us have known for years...That if players get a knock from a opposing defender in the penalty area, go down... Robbie Savage on MOTD 2 said almost the same thing Sunday night, professional players have always sought to wrest any advantage from the officials in regards to debateable decsions...in a nutshell...Con the officials... As a Level 7 referee, what is really sickening to me is seeing players of 9 go down in the penalty area, appealing for fouls, Obviously copying what they see their so called HERO's do in the professional game, and also what their club Managers are telling them to do... Put the boot on the other foot now...If Betty had gone over in a similar fashion like AY did Sunday, and QPR beat UTD 1 - 0 with the resulting penalty would we still be having this discussion? Stan
Agree with that Stan. Let's just shift our focus to the games we still have to play. They're the ones that count now.
Couldnt agree more with you GC... Saying that we have had some pretty AWLFUL decisions go against us in games, and in Red cards, but then again, so have other teams as well... 6 points in our next two games are DEFINETLY achiveable... Stan
