Just seen Rickie's interview on OS. He said he felt great for 70 min, then his lungs went and he was hoping to come off. Interestingly, when I saw the first goal I wasn't sure it had gone in because it came straight out. Rickie said the ref wasn't going to give it but the lino did...good man. Adkins' interview good value as usual...saying he didn't need a team talk with the fans there. He said that we should all realise how much the fans support means to every player. Loved the picture gallery...does anyone love Rickie as much as Lallana...he was on him like a back pack...no wonder Rickie was out of breath. The players weren't too sure about that eagle were they?
The players' faces are a picture there. So would mine be if there was a bloody great eagle swooping not far from my head!
Back from the game. Thoroughly enjoyable to watch such a professional performance. Funny that Freedman thought they'd dominated the first half and the goal was against the run of play. Bless the delusion!
Chap on Sky thought that Palace had a good 20 min when Southampton soaked it up and that eventually quality told.
