    Rovers confirm L2 next year.

However they lack any cutting edge, without Carayol.

Today vs Crewe, we forget to turn up at the start of the game defensively woeful.

So who do you think out of the current crop of forwards should stay for next season?

    Anyinsah......No
    Carayol................Yes
    Harrold.................Yes
    Mclaggon.... No
    Powell...........No
    Richards...............Yes as back up
Zebroski........No struggles to hold the ball up work ethic excellent.

I believe we need a fresh target man that can hold the ball up and score 15+ as a replacement for Mcgleish.

Plus a striker who can play of the wing to replace Zebroski and Anyinsah and contribute up to 10 goals.

    Whats your verdict Gasheads

We need two strikers, two CB, two CM and another keeper but apart from that will be ok.

Sounds like you pretty much need a complete new team.

Ah yes, the manager that got us out of trouble calmly and competently as opposed to a manager that got you out of trouble, then got you back into it, then got you out again, then.....

Let's all do the McInnes okey-cokey!

Back to the thread - yes, pretty much agree with carry on, except that we need a proper attacking midfielder who will contribute goals from midfield. Living in Dursley, I've been up to Forest Green a couple of times this season and they have an attacking midfielder called Jan Klukowski. I think he's scored 16 goals from midfield this season and has that invaluable knack of being in the right place at the right time and can finish superbly.

Might be worth taking a look at him in the summer.

Hi Blue B,Mcghee has done an excellent job re energising the team and playing a formation shape and tactics that make us difficult to beat and a threat going forward.

I agree that we need an attacking midfielder not heard of Jan Klukowski always positive when the midfield contribute Disley always made strong runs on goal where Gill and Stanley appear not to be that type of player (or it is not the role that Mcghee wants them to play, perhaps it is more defensive midfield given the goals we had been leaking).

Worth a look by the sounds of it.

I'm not impressed with Gill or Stanley's attacking prowess. I like Gill in the middle of the park running things but we defo need someone to back up the strikers from midfield - we'll see what McGhee does in the summer - let's face it, he's still got pretty much Buckle's squad and he is enormously experienced with contacts in the game, so we should get some exciting arrivals. Hopefully.

I was surprised to see that Gill has 8 assists this season. Every time I have seen him this season (and that is many) he appears to have done bugger all!

Chris - I went away to Bradford earlier this season ... Gill started that game and was pretty good - it was only when he went off injured that I realised what he actually bought to the side. I don't dislike him, but if you are going to have someone like him in midfield then you need a defensive and attacking mid to compensate, which upsets the balance of the team. Therefore we need someone like him who can defend and attack and score goals - should be pretty easy to find!!!!
