I feel comfortable listening to their partnership unlike when listening to legard he would repeatedly talk over Martin. Coulthard has great vision when looking at the track and Brundle is doing well and can only improve. Good move BBC

As has been previously mentioned, the only criticism I could have was how silent the start was. Brundle didn't quite know how to handle it until something actually happened. Certainly nothing like Murray Walker's "Go,go,go!" of old. but after that, I thought it worked really well. DC was impressive, and I liked the fact that everything was a little more technically minded.

I don't think this is the BBC's fault, as I'm sure they just patch into a feed, but in the race coverage, did anyone else feel that there wasn't enough coverage of anything going on at the back, and some moves never even got a replay? I remember hearing Sutil got past di Resta, but never seeing how, and a few other incidents like that. Oh, and the intro piece cutting between JH, EJ and DC was a bit contrived, but I'll let them off because it was the first race. Saying that, the intro clip at the beginning was fabulous, as was Quali's yesterday.

Great hearing two commentators together who really know what they are on about. Legard was doing the Boat Race yesterday, the sort of job he should have always been doing in the first place. Loved it when DC got caked by the Red Bull crew!

for me it will take a while to get use to, brundle for me is better being a co-commentator.....in other words not speaking as much...lol

the bbc should of stuck with legard and maybe done a 3 way commentary with legard, brundle and dc.

I think the only problem with that would be Legard talked so much DC would struggle to get a word in! Brundle isn't the most natural lead commentator, but he knows his stuff which is a big advantage over Legard. I imagine he'll grow into it as time goes on.

I think Legard's sacking wasn't just down to unpopularity, but also due to the BBC's spending cuts.
