I've thought for a long time that we should ship him out. After today's amble around ER admiring the scenery, I'm absolutely 100% certain - no more chances.

I'm sure in another team or another league he would be an asset, but he's not suited at all to us. Plays a completely different game that bears no relation to the way we play. Short lightweight who can't tackle, head or dribble. Thinks the box is a pool full of alligators & doesn't go anywhere near it.

And 3 years+ left on his contract .....

Let him have pre-season. If he doesn't preform, ship him out or give him a chance to impress out on loan. But I agree. He's not doing himself any favours. Unfortunately with such a long contract he's got power over the situation.

But he's a livewire when he gets the ball, is always looking to do something positive, and has quick feet, and can pass, and can shoot, and challenges big centre halves for aerial balls.

How about looking at it a different way - we have to change the team anyway, so why not make someone who causes problems a main part of ther team and build a way of playing that fits him?

Nunez did nothing wrong today that a run of a few games will not iron out ie some rustiness regarding positioning.

Think you are being rather harsh

Nope, not being too harsh. Just lost patience with him. How long has he been here and what has he done? too long & bugger all. The guy I watched today did nothing. Yes, he can pass, but every single pass went backwards - not one positive pass, far less slicing a defence open. Today I did not see him do anything positive, nor challenge any centre halves for aerial balls. He shot (singular, I think), and he had quick feet (but then so does that penguin in Happy Feet - perhaps we should sign him?).

    Time to go!

Sorry Whitejock, but I agree with Elmo re Nunez. He hasn't had that many opportunities to impress. Needs a run of games and I think he'll come good. It's all very well having hard tackling, physical players, but every team needs at least some modicum of skill, and Nunez offers that.
I can think of at least 12 players I'd rather see shipped out before Nunez.
Also, when Snodgrass has a poor game, he seems exempt from criticism for some reason. Wonder why that is.

I hear what you're both saying, but he's been here almost 2 years & still hasn't broken into the team. It's been all promise & not delivery? How much longer should we keep him? I think he's had as good a chance as anyone & hasn't taken it. Two years!

One pre season under NW and if he is not in the starting 16 next season ship him out. Surprised we haven't loaned him out along with Sam if I am honest, at least to get him in the shop window if we are not keeping him.

Impact sub at best, However I would imagine his contract is not an expensive one and we should be able to cover his wages by loaning him out.

Nunez is a class act who has had to endure a poor team under Grayson. Today he didn't stand a chance once idiot Brown got sent off as any game plan went with it. Let's see what Warnock gets from him next season with hopefully more quality in the squad. Nunez can play, that's for sure and I also expect Robbie Rog to come good next season.

Didn't even get a game today! Wonder if NW is thinking the same as me?

Nunez is the next in a long line of "gems" we've scraped the barrel for as part of bates master plan to spend **** all. It's not worked out for him, ship him out. Snodgrass gets let off on bad games because he consistently delivers the goods.

Certainly not yesterday or recently though Marko.

I think the captain, "best player at the club", "build a squad around you", "make you the highest paid player" stuff has gone to Snoddy's head - he is being played in a position where he is not most effective, he is whinging and whining and moaning at everything on the pitch without gicing any encouragement, and he needs to spend some time practising how to cross the ball early and past the first man ,
