Good call from Nigel. Rest Rickie for Friday, and hopefully allow Guly to play a similar role as he did away at Leeds (where he was in midfield, but had no fixed position, and was just chasing players down and putting in an allround good defensive shift).
I got told off for swearing in front of my nephews who were visiting for the weekend. Forgot myself and let fly with some choice language.
At the game, I said to my 10 year old, "listen son, what happens here today, stays here today".... I am normally very sinsible infront of him, changing words to songs etc, but Saturday..... oh no!
I'd like to think that this second goes some way to proving me right, with regards to wanting to play sides who have nothing to play for. Yes Palace sounded decent in the first half, but it just hasn't sounded like they've been motivated enough to get back into it in the second half.
Seemed like we played ok in the Pompey game without getting 3 points, so was hopeful we weren't on a slide. Confident we can do this and have a good feeling about Reading game.
And perhaps better for our purposes, Coventry is four adrift themselves...setting up the possibility that they'll be relegated before the final game of the year.
