What do you mean? Suarez 'dives all over the place', while Young actually 'felt the tug at his shirt and was put off balance' yesterday. It must be true, because Sir Alex said it. He wouldn't lie about the issue, would he?
You show images of Young, we'll show you Suarez. Then its Rooney, okay here's Gerrard and on and on and on. This is the curse of modern football. Every team has players who go down under minimal contact (or none). Not just United.
I don't know. Maybe to piss off Kenny. I don't really care either since it deflects from the fact it happens. I don't like diving and I cringed when I saw the penalty yesterday and how soft the contact was. No player should do it but sadly they do as the ref's sometimes all to easily blow the whistle.
this siege mentality liverpool have is frightening, obsessed people taking these cock-ups as signs of a massive conspiracy rather than general ineptitude/spinelessness on the part of the officials. psychological profiling would probably find a great number of potential mark chapmans amongst them, if they were given the opportunity. "king kenny told me to do it."
Yeah its really funny the way the refs are always inept and spinelesss at old Trafford every single season but not at any other ground.
Foolish generalisations there. I agree more or less with Constcrepe on this. Singling out Suarez was probably just some more of Fergie's mind games. Anyone who loves footie should be pissed of with the diving- no matter which side benefits by it. It's against the principles of sport and just plain embarrassing most of the time.
You've just proven his point as you're effectively saying there are no poor decisions at any other grounds. Tell that to Wigan fans about Stamford Bridge. Absolute, Man United obsessed madness. It's funny.
Says the man who supports United but has a reference to Liverpool in his signature, and is posting on the Liverpool board regularly. For every United-obsessed Liverpool fan, there's a Liverpool-obsessed United fan.
I'm sure you don't. Just like no-one on here is getting into a "foaming rage" about Utd, merely making observations.
Your on the Liverpool board all the time talking/making snide remarks about Liverpool so I think your the one whos obsessed.
And I suppose endless streams of politicians have been inept too which by chance has allowed a tiny fraction of the population to get richer whilst the vast majority have gotten poorer, stripping the assetts off the people and giving to their buddies, amazing how these inept politicians seem to do very well in their own personal businesses! The 'cock ups' are not just consigned to Liverpool; look at the weekends games and suprise suprise Man U get another lucky call, Chelsea get two in a row and what about the Barca- Chelski game in the Champs league a few seasons ago? Yeah much easier to blame ineptitude(some of the those decisions are more than blatant, Ivanovic?) rather than see that there could be a political favouritism to ensure certain teams do well and reach the champs league or progress. This ineptitude also continues alongside dismissing obvious technology that would virtually eliminate it.
There's 2 issues here and whilst they can be related theyare, in fact different: Diving. This is now far more prevelant across the game thanks to FIFA, UEFA and not least Platini. They took the decision to favour the attacker so far that the majority of defenders these days do not know how to tackle correctly. Even if a defender does tackle correctly, they can be carded for being too aggressive! Hence, the attackers have taken their advantage to new heights so that even the slightest touch is now justification for going to ground and claiming a foul. Football always was a contact sport but if this present interpretation is to continue then the only way to stop diving is to ban any contact between players. It will kill the game as a spectacle but it will stop diving! I do find it amusing that some United suporters attack Redmen for even suggesting that United are favoured by officials - particularly at OT. This is not just a claim made by Liverpool supporters but by fans of all clubs throughout the leagues and by pundits across the media. This is not a new claim -it's been going on for years!. So are we ALL wrong or could it just be that United fans are deluded?
Most teams (especially the bigger teams) get the "rub of the green" when at home, this is nothing new and is something pundits have been referring to for a long time. However United's "rub of the green" moments will get talked about for years to come simply because they are winning titles, do you really think the 2 offside goals Chelsea scored against Wigan will still be talked about in 4 or 5 years the same way Scholes escaping a second yellow against Wigan in 2008 has been mentioned on the United board recently? It's unlikely because it won't really affect their title challenge (or lack of one). The problem with these incidents is that people only seem to remember the ones that support the conspiracies, nobody pays attention to the ones that went against United because they more often than not ended up winning anyway. It's the same story with the penalty myth, everybody talks about how ref's never give penalties against United at Old Trafford, however in the past half a dozen years many teams, including Liverpool, Chelsea and Spurs, have conceded less at home.
Out of interest, what motivates referees to help United win titles and to give Chelsea dodgy decisions at Stamford Bridge? Why don't they want Liverpool to win titles? Wouldn't you consider Liverpool a bigger club than Chelsea? When did the authorities and the referees get together and decide that they'd had enough of Liverpool winning the league and agree that they were going to favour United for the next twenty years? When and why did they then add Chelsea to their favourites list? Questions, questions.
Why indeed? I am sure you are intelligent enough to put bias aside in order to come up with some possibilities. Looking from the top down, take Barca for example, many have questioned the favouritism that they seem to enjoy. Mourinho has questioned it against his Real side. Look on youtube and see Van Persie questioning the ref after he was ridiculously sent off and then there is the Chelski vs Barca game from a few years ago where some of the Chelsea players openly called cheat. Now if it can happen in the Champs league with the global audience I am sure its quite possible that it can happen in England. The trouble is the same Chelsea fans and players who were calling cheat a few years ago will be very quiet now after events at Stamford Bridge AND Craven Cottage, thats why its easy to get away with it because people lack the integrity to be honest.
Why are they biased in favour of United and when did this start? Why did they stop being biased in favour of Liverpool? Why did they start being biased in favour of Chelsea who aren't traditionally one of the big clubs in England? When and why did refs in Spain switch their bias from Real to Barca? How was this allowed to happen when Real have always been the leader's club and are covertly funded by the government? Questions, questions.
Mmmmm questions questions, indeed! Not sure if any of what you posted has any foundation, I was too young to really notice any bias when Liverpool were winning things. As for the Barca-Real issue football overseas was never so televised so I guess you are largely basing it on who was dominating at the time and just assuming the refs were aiding them, rather than any examples. There are many meanings of political, not just when used in regards to government, by your example Milan should of won everything what with Berlusconi. Its funny how most non-united fans can see bias towards United and a lot of fans can see how disgustingly blatant the Barca- Chelsea game was(possibly even Utd fans) but cannot entertain the idea that they may benefit. Obviously I credited you with intelligence you clearly do not have earlier!
