Wenger is playing him in spite of a really poor spell, when his loss of form should mean resting him. How can you play him either out of position,or before Oxo or Geronimo - the normal Wenger misguided approach. Lets hope Ramsey can start again next season.
I've always thought that the ideal midfield combination is three players: a hard working defensive player, a player who combines defensive qualities with long-range passing and an attacking player capable of beating people one on one and picking short killer passes high up the pitch. Song, Arteta and Wilshire/Rosicky fit the bill very well but I don't think Ramsey really does.
I still hope he will come through this poor patch - which started with too much pressure and responsibility. He appears to keep looking for a miracle flick, backpass or glory goal. Wish he would just stick to doing the basics well.
I like Ramsey and think he's a talent. Remember, he is still very young and developing so he will only get better. Hopefully next season will be better for him. However, i don't agree with Wenger picking him over players playing better than him. We are at the business end of the season and need to get results to secure that 3rd spot. I don't understand why Wenger would risk playing a player not on form and struggling on confidence over OXO and G-man. But it was good to see Benny get a run, an underrated player i think.
Ramsey should not be playing for Arsenal - he should be on loan. He clearly has not progressed fast enough from his early promise, and of course the leg break has had an impact - though I agree with an earlier poster that he should be over it now. It should not be an excuse. I think Wenger is actually hurting Arsenal by playing him, but also hurting Ramsey. He is not going to get confidence playing at a level too high for him at this time. I think he could still come through and be a very good player for us (though I doubt he will ever be great), but it's just not now.
He has shown a lot of quality in the past. I would give him another season and then see how it goes. He is still only 21 and his type of players need time to mature sometimes. We will hopefully be getting rid of other players in our squad, i wouldn't get rid of him so soon....
You really are a complete arshole, Arsenal won because they completely outplayed us, congratulations, but to suggest we are a **** team and club displays an arrogance I hope is not shared by the majority of true Arsenal supporters. You are probably not aware that one of our best ever teams was managed by Joe Mercer a true Arsenal legend and gentleman of the game. I've seen you for months slagging off your own players and manager, I suspect you never go to the games and are just a sad little boy. As for your petty little dollar signs I could respond by spelling £enger like this, but I won't, now **** off.
To start, I dont really like Ramsey....but then I am not an expert like Wenger - but what bothers me, is that he gets his "chance" on a position which is not his. Why take the "chance" away from Oxo or Gervinho? If Wenger wants him to play then he shall compete against the central midfielders. When ramsey came on he drifted into the pitch all the time (we lost width) - and when we are playing against 10 then we should not be playing the opposite....drag the team out
I think it's more to do with the tactics Wenger is employing at this stage of the season. He is playing Walcott much more like a striker lately, something we are all happy with. I'm sure we've all seen him cutting into the box more often. Anyway, this stretches the midfield to cover, and I think Wenger is countering that by playing a more narrow player on the left: Ramsey or Benayoun, rather than another flying winger like Ox or Gerv. As long as Benayoun is fit, I think we should continue with this tactic, because it seems to work.
I agree and hope Aaron can find his form for the next season. He should have better years ahead of him. Right now Arsene needs to put out the right players to get the job done. Perhaps bring him on as an impact sub if needed but Oxo should be starting the next 6 games.
No, you are a $hit club from top to bottom. Don't talk about the old City. They had some class. That's now gone. You're just $ity now. A $hit club who tried to buy the league. Totally without soul, and a laughing stock having spent £1bn and won nothing this year. Don't worry you can just spend another £1bn to try again. I bet you get really attached to your players now don't you - I mean it's not as if the majority will be on loan next year when you splash millions to get another manager in.
I would loan him out to a Championship club next year. I think a full season getting some confidence back will do him good, and he might reach the level he needs to be at to come back.
It all depends on who we buy this transfer window. If we get an attacking midifelder in then we should a loan move to a Premiership club would be good (Swansea, Norwich or Bolton (if they stay up)). However, if we get no one new in, he has to stay. Wilshere would need time to bed in and our current midfield 3 of Rosicky, Arteta and Song will remain. The following factors have to be taken into account: - Wilshere comeback - Frimpong recovery? - New midfielder? - OXO midfield? - Ramsey impresses late season/early pre-season
That's a bit harsh. We don't even have enough central midfielder's to make him 8th best! At the moment, Rosicky, Arteta, Song and Wilshere are ahead of him. Who are the rest? Wenger rates him because he is a very good midfielder, he just need to take it to the next level that we all know he's capable of.
