There are mixed opinions about it, KC. I'd like to see him replace Corluka and provide cover and competition for our full-backs, but others feel that it'd be better to move him on. Can't see him going that cheaply, though.
Well I wouldn't have thought it was high because Corluka will be sold in the summer. However Spurcat who has close ties with the club thinks he's not very highly rated by the coaches and that there's a decent chance he will move if we get a reasonable bid.
I think there's a reasonable chance Kent canary. Not sure how much we would value him at, but I don't see Harry invloving Naughton in his plans for next season. Also, I am not convinced it would be in the players' best interests to return to us and if he did, his career might be taking a backward step as he'll never play every week for us like he undoubtedly will do for Norwich.
I get the feeling this summer will see Corluka move on and Naughton move up into the squad, so it's more likely that we'd loan you Adam Smith next season - although if Naughton doesn't make it for us, he'll lose his place to Smith and he'll be available.
Just got a ticket for this in the last hour for £25! Someone on another forum has a ST and his Dad's ST was going spare so I've bought it. Looking forward to this - really need a win after today's result. COYS!
We're playing 4-4-2 today! Friedel; Walker, Kaboul, King, Assou-Ekotto; Lennon, Livermore, Modric, Bale; Defoe, Saha. SUBS: Cudicini, Nelsen, Rose, Kranjcar, Sandro, Adebayor, van der Vaart.
Nice to see that Redknapp's learned from last season and isn't running Assou-Ekotto into the ground, again. Oh, wait...
'Arry's using the squad! I'm a little worried about Livermore but the rest seems good. Hopefully Lennon will be okay!
Despite my dislike of 442, this team ought to do for Norwich. I'm still nervous about Defoe though - let's hope he remembers to stay onside and let his pace make the difference.
The bench seems to have had some forethought put into it - we've got like-for-like replacements, plus we can change our system if needs be.
Interesting line up, good to see Lennon and Bale in - should give us balance in midfield. Defoe wants first team action? He's got it - let's see how he uses his opportunity. Good that we've got backup with Ade and VdV on the bench if it all falls flat as well.
He should've made less changes, but more often, YV. Our players burn out and those that come in to replace them have no sharpness, confidence or match fitness, as they've been rotting on the sidelines for so long.
Have to agree. Just look at the champions united and how often mid season a player is rested so that for the run in everyone is fresh and ready.
The one person I'm not worried about is Livermore. I have doubts about 4-4-2 with Bale and Lennon playing as wingers, if that's what happens. But in Livermore we have someone who can help make that work. I think we'll win, whatever formation we line up in.
