Not sure about this! Need to try to arrest this slump as soon as possible and take the pressure off. A win here will set us up nicely for the Everton game, perhaps rest Suarez and give Gerrard an hour.

    Doni
    Flanno Skrtel Coates(needs games) Enricky

    Hendo Gerrard Spearing Downing

    Carrol Kuyt

It's a strange situation going into Blackburn with no confidence in what the team can do, just wonder what we will all be feeling going into the Wembley game. I just hope out incredibly poor league form hasn't affected our Cup form. <ok>

This game is more important than people think. We need a win, and a convincing one, in order to send the team to Wembley in as good a form as possible. I agree with resting certain key players such as Gerrard and Suarez, but people like Henderson, Downing and especially Carroll need a good game under their belts before the Wembley semi-final. I'd like to see Maxi start this game too, as I see KD likes to play him in cup matches. Also, I think Coates such start in place of Agger for 3 reasons: He needs games in the PL, Carragher is past it and I wouldn't want to risk injuring Agger before the semi-final.

  4. I'm going to try a different tactic and predict a 3-0 Rovers win, that or the draw (see what I did there?) <ok>

Last time I chose the opposing team to win, we won. So I did it again in hopes of the reverse happening again. Although, we were still in a chance for top 4 at the time of the last one and probably not resting players so we will see.

  6. Weirdly, I have been confident prior to games recently, hence me taking a different thought pattern...

I have a few mates that are Nottm Forest fans (hardly surprising with me living in Notts) and I am actually hoping they start under-performing again. Not because I dislike Forest but purely because when they were playing bad we was doing ok and the roles have been reversed for the last few weeks. Ignoring the weekends result against Bristol City (which they needed to win to secure safety), they have picked up seventeen points from a possible twenty-one.

Zingy did this reverse psychology bit for a while but it didn't work.

well honestly guys i was slightly disappointed in kenny for picking maxi not sterling on the weekend. I have to say that things like that dissappoint me most about kenny.

next: blackburn. out of "respect" I want to pick a good team and to hell with resting guys.

for me I would like to know if players are coming abck to fitness or not... even if we were not playing the semi next weekend i'd not pick gerrard for this anyway.

    my team would be:

    doni
flanagan skertl coates enrique (agger will come on on the elft side to be ready for everton)
    Kuyt henderson spearing downing
    bellamy suarez

I'd honestly drop carragher and gerrard. carroll can puke for a place as far as i am concerned.

I think however kenny is sure to pick the "scouse heart"

finally.... I would love to win 2-0 to give us some sort of lift and stop the press talking sack in the lead up to the weekend. a win would releive that and allow us to focus on a very very competitve everton side.

my prediction is 0-2 to blackburn though as we play the game with 9 men given carragher and gerrards state of being. sad but true.

    I'd go for

    Doni
    Kelly Skrtel Coates Enrique
    Spearing
    Henderson
    Suarez Shelvey Downing
    Kuyt

Suarez is better on the right wing, it's obvious, that is where he played and scored all his goals for Ajax and Uruguay. Coates NEEDS to play ahead of Carragher, he is just better than Carra. Gerrard needs to be dropped, he's been very lazy recently. Shelvey needs more games, and has been a stand out performer recently. Spearing can hold the defensive line and allow Henderson to move up more without exposing the defence. I'm 100% sure Kenny won't play this team, because he's so ****ing stubborn. I think he will play -

    Doni
    Kelly Skrtel Carra Enrique
    Henderson Spearing Gerrard Downing
    Carroll Suarez

I'm not even going to bother watch the game. It just hurts too much these days.

who knows... I think this game is something of an indicator.

most managers in fairness no matter if they are RAFA, MOURINHO, FERGUSON, or dalglish will get labelled as conservate as when they take a risk they get pillioried.

I would be happy for dalglish to just pick guys in form. carrgher can;t be called this and this is something i won't agree with.

I'd be very happy to start coates, tell him he's playing 60 mins and agger is coming on. This with an explanation that next year coates will be the guy should make the guy happy, this year is about language and getting settled in the style.... I do not see the risk seeing he started coates v wigan and we were winning.

i'd not play gerrard as i think he cannot play more than once i n7 days and barely at that. i think kenny won't risk not starting him.

I'd not pick carroll but would not have an issue with him starting in theory... i'd rather bellamy but could i hold that as a personal choice against anyone? nope.

I'd never ever pick maxi at this point seeing sterling is the future but then if kennys got one eye on the semi and final then you cuold see why he needs him short term.... again maxi didn't get a sniff so whats the diff?

Blackburn fan here, I'm hoping for the best but THB I'd be happy with a draw. We have been playing OK recently but a few things haven'y gone our way, so hopefuly we are due a little bit of luck.

I've always liked Liverpool, and wish you and your team the best for the season, after our game of course :)

  17. Yet again I have the thought of "surely we can't drop points again" but considering our recent run, the confidence for this game is hanging by the smallest of threads. I'm predicting a Blackburn win <ok>

put a 10 spot on blackburn. they will win.... our players are lazy and only think of themselves so they will be thinking about the semi only.
