La Liga is more his speed. I wish him well but he just can't cut it in the EPL.

He has only played 2 full games in the EPL in his life. 1000 minutes of Football and is still only 23. He has scored 5 goals in that time, and had 2 assists. How exactly do you know that he cant cut it in the EPL?

put him up front in a 4-4-2 with Bendtner, oxo wilshere in middle, gervinho an walcott on wings and i think he'll do a job

but i dont think he'll be good enough to be a regular abit like dos santos at spurs, once upon a time he was going to be world class and was one of the first players anyone bought on fifa, FM etc because he was rated that much

    now he's............erm where is he?

  7. No. He is not good enough. He's already proven that.

Take a look at Cisse to see how a really good striker settles into the league.

  8. We should have got him but as the saying goes, no one was available.....

  9. Yep - I am still trying to work out how some clubs get these players who are not available in January.

  10. It's one of those mysteries of life and certainly mysterious to our scouts, negotiating team and management....... ;)

No point bringing Vela back. He failed to fit into our 4-3-3 system, was too weak on the ball, lacked pace and wasn't determined enough. In his position we now have Geronimo, OXO, Walcott, The Pod? and Miyaichi. He had his chance but flopped. I wish him all the best in La Liga, which is better suited to him.

Why would we have bought Cisse when we had Park, Chamackh and Van Persie?

because park and chamakh were rubbish...

that being said, do any of you know if cisse could have played in a 433? because he's got a strike partner at newcastle. vela was good in a 442, as was eduardo, just not on their own up front.

  14. Thanks Drudeboy

Precisely that. Park and Chamakh are really no hopers. I can't see either of them coming good and ask if Park was bought for marketing purposes as has been suggested in discussion before.

Mr 20K is right though about other players including Miyaichi waiting in the wings so to speak.

So was Cisse before he played. Park could be 20 times better, no one would ever know.

I don't know, I agree with your point about Eduardo, I am not sure about extending it to Vela though.

i put up a similar thread recently though i now agree that he really won't fit into our system and we do have afobe and campbell coming through. In addition he has stated (like bendtner) he has not interest in coming back even if we do want him back.

Those two goals that he did were top class, but he even said he wants to stay in Spain, so I guess that is that sorted then.
