I am coming back in August for a holiday and believe it or not i am looking forward to seeing City play.As i have said before i missed Wembley, Premier League because i was over here.My decision to migrate etc but i still live City through and though. I have gone through the bad times with City prior to 87 when i came out here, the precious memories are Chelsea,Stoke Cup games etc,Orient 5-4,Wedesday 4-4. What i am trying to say at present we are having a bad time but it has been worse, but my feeling is that things will turn around.Call me deluded, i am a psych nurse, i do not think i am but if we can keep the nucleus of the team together we can go further. Dont get on Barmbys back at the moment, get behind them and put things in perspective. It is a message board and it is everyones right to have there say but get behind the team on the pitch.I can honestly say i never ever booed the team off or ever sang what a load of rubbish.Said it at home. I liken it to Geoff Boycott in Yorkshire you can say he is selfish, boring etc but outside Yorkshire Boycott is the greatest cricketer. A delusion is a fixed belief that is held despite people from the same culture knowing it is not true,my belief is that we are better than we are at the moment and that most of that culture think the same. Anyway as i said looking forward to August and once again seeing my beloved Tigers.
Well what can I say I like a good moan But nah I don't, I've just got overly frustrated and lost belief with this squad, so close to throw it all away, and it's the manner it was thrown away as if the team has done it on purpose in spite. They couldn't give a ****! Just watch body language on the pitch, they're all ****s. But I've just remembered we were 92nd in the football league once, so now I'm over the moon and full of confidence.
What Nick needs is an experienced quality support team around him. His management team at the moment is total gash. I hope for the sake of the club and his fledgling career as a manager this is sorted out over the summer. We need to get the most out of the team/squad. When this happens we are still one or two players short of making the play-offs (a striker or two) but when we are below-par or weakened by injury/suspension/loss of form/stupid fixture list then we are really screwed and need a plan B. But that doesn't mean we should be calling for Barmby's head. Not by any stretch.
Steve Wigley is highly regarded in the game as far as I'm aware. Who do you mean when you say his management team is gash ?
I would suspect the majority of supporters still back Barmby and want him to succeed and what annoys me most is that Radio Humberside and it seems Nick himself only seems to comment on the minority of fans who boo etc. I know Nick has sounded like he is on the defensive lots of times lately as if he feels we are all against him and I think apart from us taking a step back, he ought to take a step back and realise that we do wish him well and I actually think he has taken a lot of flack when things are out of his control re not signing anyone, he has had no money and has tried to cover that with the "I am satisfied with what we have got" line. I would like to be a fly on the wall in the dressing room to see what he actually says to the players and how he prepares them because I don't think some of them do care and it can hardly do them or their reputation any good to play like they don't care so I am hoping today they have a complete change of heart and come out fighting. Need Ash to get in there and put the fear of god into them I think!!
Wigley is a great coach but is not assistant manager material. He has failed numerous times as assistant manager and his stint as manager at Southampton is best forgotten.
sorry, I think there is the "and knows something about football" qualifier to the selection criteria. I hear that there is a vacancy in the concession stands that might interest you.
