Surely it can't have been Kenny boy's idea to give fat boy Ashley the outrageous £35mm that he asked for the Geordie Donkey? That looks like it's got Comoli's hand all over it!
It has to be Queen Kenny over 100 million spent on average players and he makes out its everybody else's fault but his the" legend "has been tainted . He surely will be pushed "upstairs" again in the summer.
Dalglish was doomed as soon as Comolli was given employment at Liverpool. For the one gem his "moneyball" approach might turn up, he also serves up a lot of cr*p on a plate. The best thing that Harry did, when he came here was get Levy to sack Comolli. A lot of good players are going to turn into a lot of average ones, there. Liverpool's season was always going to be difficult - but then Suarez's racial abuse of Evra made it impossible. Now, compare that situation to Mancini's. First, Tevez and then Balotelli, conspired to destroy a brilliant start by the club. That said, Mancini always had about 100 players to choose from and, with an open chequebook, could get anyone (almost) he wanted, to replace them. That he has persisted so long with Balotelli is a sign of weakness and "blindness" that could never, ever happen at, say, Old Trafford. Mancini, then, has been the architect of his own destruction and his failure is, therefore, greater than Kenny's. Villas-Boas, it seems, was a boy trying to take on a man's job. there is no doubting he can manage - he just chose the wrong club to introduce himself to England. Dealing with a dressing room with Terry, Lampard, Drogba and Cole would take someone of senior years or of such presence (eg Jose), that the players would understand, immediately, who was the boss and who were the workers. di Matteo has worked with the same players and has done brilliantly - if Chelsea don't want him after this season is over, he could come to the Lane, next season, as far as I'm concerned. McLeish has turned into Villa's Juande Ramos. I can't imagine his stay there will be either productive or lengthy.
Dalglish. Man City have actually made progress on last season, Liverpool have regressed. City's problems are a result of inexperience with never winning the title, naivity from the manager with Balotelli, a broken dressing room with Tevez and Balotelli and a massive dip in their most influential players in Silva, Yaya and Aguero. Next season, should Mancini still have a job at City, he will learn from his mistakes and further improve his squad and the way City play and ensure the same mistakes are not repeated. Liverpool's problems are that they have a mediocre squad and have been cr*p all season. One can argue that both teams have underperformed this season, compared with expectations, but I'd bet far more people predicted Man City to finish 2nd (or 3rd) than Liverpool to finish (in terms of points) closer to relegation than top 4.
That's what I would say if we missed out. Not quite sure why you're put the R as a £ though. That would imply we've spent mega-bucks - can't really see that myself. Out of the 2 in the list, gotta be Kenny - it's the 'woe is me' attitude that grates with me.
If we fail to get top 4, £ity will be welcome to Harry, because our failure will be his failure, and I will want us to get in a manager who can actually push us on. Harry will have blown his chance, in my mind, and I will have lost my faith in him.
If he acted with more common sense about Tevez (for example, not publicly slander him after the Bayern game and, even though nobody who was on the bench that night corroborated his story, punished him anyway - a remarkably stupid move given Tevez signaled his desire to leave twelve months earlier but the request was rejected) he wouldn't have to rely on Balotelli as much. I'm still trying to work out how Lawrenson blames Tevez for his departure from Old Trafford though - MUPLC couldn't afford to keep him, it had nothing to do with attitude or professionalism on Tevez's part. However, there's many signs of weakness or blindness at Old Trafford - Ferguson's determination to make Lee Sharpe a left back and discarding him when he wanted to play in his strongest position, playing Alan Smith as a defensive midfielder when he was a striker, the persistence of fielding Wes Brown and John O'Shea despite their obvious lack of qualities are the most obvious examples.
Sorry, I should have added a third option. Harry "I let a 13 point lead over the Arse slip" Redknapp. He's been making his excuses for a number of weeks. The more blinkered among you will lap hit up and be singing his praises next season, when the FA (quite rightly) reach the opinion that he is completely NOT what England need - as he has more than amply proved. For me, I've had enough. He has turned us into a laughing stock. "We're gonna wing the title" (Harry) "Er... no... actually, we're gonna finish 3rd. Yeah, definitely." (Harry) "Er...no... actually top 4 is within our grasp." (Harry) "Er... no... this is not an easy league and we can easily get humiliated by any team that isn't managed by a twat who dreams about being England manager." (Harry) "**** off out of our club right now, your utter, utter clown!" (HIAG)
Ermm.. how many titles has Harry won? How many has Kenny won? Didn't Kenny have this kind of run before before taking his team to the title. Current form is what it is, and spurs have been on relegation form for hte past 2 months also. Besides, John Terry is the worst Manager this season
