Daniel Agger said Liverpool have to play better to start getting results. This defender is not looking beyond the players themselves, fifteen points below champion league spot is nothing to write home about. We can blame: 1.Referee 2.Cross bars 3.Our luck "Liverpool are not good enough"-Agger said Tottenham lost the first game of the season, yet they came back and had a very good run, at a stage people were looking at them as challenger for the championship. Arsenal also had a bad run, there is now a possibility for Arsenal finishing third.Chelsea start was not impressive either, and they are also challenging for the top four finish. Newcastle for the first time in many years are going to finish above Liverpool.
Working hard there dribbling! Let's see what Agger is actually quoted as saying: Agger added: “It was a frustrating afternoon. We had a lot of good chances, especially at the end. But we couldn’t score the winner and that’s the fact. “Maybe that’s because we aren’t good enough or we didn’t get the right chances. But we drew 1-1 and we have to give Villa credit for working hard. With a little bit of luck, we’d have scored one more." That puts a different from complexion on what he meant than the one that you are trying to imply!
Even if he did say "we're not good enough" or we "have to play better to start getting results" then that's stating the bleedin' obvious at the moment. We're not playing well enough- but that doesn't mean we never will be or should talk ourselves into a state of panic over it. Again, I believe it's just selective quoting putting an emphasis on certain things for effect.
