Kenny needs time! His signings have not set the world alight, but I can't help thinking if we hadn't hit the post 38 times we would be higher than 8th. The football in the first half of the season was awesome and we played teams well off the park. If we get the FA cup then this will have been a good season and I for one think our squad is in pretty good shape, jus need a right winger and a decent goal scorere as we create about 16 good chances a game and at least ten corners. In my humble opinion give Kenny time and let's start being positive!!
In defence of the fans that want Kenny out, they are entitled to their opinion. I don't agree with them at all and agree with your post but we need to stick together and both sets of fans with this differing opinion need to stop posting these threads.
Is it not possible to be in 'camp' 3 in all this ****e? I firmly believe in giving kk more time but at the same time do not excuse him for our terrible form and position. You make your own luck at the end of the day and he has presided over the spending of 100 million quid to strengthen the squad and has had over a year to improve us and hasn't. That's his fault. Should he be sacked? No and only because we play nice footy and for his legendary status he deserves a chance to put things right. We owe him that much at least for all he's done for us as a player and manager and since then all he's done to help the familes of the 96.
You lot really need to lay off this stat Hitting the post just means your players are not accurate enough. Nothing else. Perhaps you should start watching Aussie Rules, you get a point for a near miss in that game ( and it's **** ) You are in danger of becoming not the "next year is our year" fantasists, but the "ifs "
I definitely understand the Kenny out argument, reasonably logical, we need results. However, aside from several signings, I dont really see anything hes actually done wrong, and I reckon we justneedsome time. Tbh I do not feel as confident with him as I did a year ago, but thats just based off results.
I can see where your coming from; I must admit my confidence had waned a little over the last couple of months. Prior to that I was really buzzing and I didn't think we were a million miles away from making a huge step up in getting top four. When I wrote a mini essayon another thread it brought all that positive feeling back. Some will say you make your own luck and of course that is correct; but we have had a different level of luck against us this season and apart from the last 6 weeks or so performances have been fantastic. We are seriously not that far from being a very good side challenging for 3rd or 4th at least! Just imagine if our bad luck had been the same as everybody else - not to mention we have had our fair share and more of poor refereeing decisions - we would possibly be in 4th or 5th anyway! Two quality players and I think we could have something special, the football alone this season has been sensational at times, you can't dominate Arsenal and City(when they were in form) without some semblance of a good side!
