    Most supporters wanted Lucas gone, too, and said he'd never be good enough to play for Liverpool. So what's your point?

    You have the bloody nerve to talk about doing the honourable thing? Where's your honour? How about honouring the fact that Kenny has done more for this club than anybody, not only on the field but in the community. The fans, all of us, owe him so how about honouring the three-year contract he was awarded when you were raving about the form of 2nd or 3rd last season, with the squad the entire media blamed for us being 19th under Hodgson.

    That squad has been overhauled, with a lot of dead wood replaced. That was only phase one of rebuilding and amounted to half a team, including youngsters. I's not going to happen in one season and if you think it does your name is Abramovich so why are you on our board?

    right i'll be clear... i think suarez dribbling is an imbecile. I'm sorry but i've had quite enough of the bullshite. I've been quiet left lads have their say but someone come on and saying winning cups is not enogu his blind stupidity. As for speaking for "most" fans... thats a laugh.

    sorry but i have to call it like i say it, this thread is complete bollocks.

    You are certainly not speaking for this Liverpool fan. Kenny has been badly let down by around £80 million (overpriced I know) worth of so called 'talent'.
    If some of these players had the class, heart, dignity and a tiny bit of the talent Kenny had as a player we'd be in a much better position.

    Whilst I hope Kenny is given one more year at least, he did sign these players! Now of course they have let him down but the crucial thing for me is that whilst they MAY have talent(that is arguably yet to be seen) the thing they seem to lack most of all is the right mentality. I hate Sir Alcy, but one thing you have to admire is that he generally gets players with the right winning and hungry mentality thus preserving the ethos that Utd has been successful with.

    He did signed the players..but the players are not performing.Manchester City have got more star players than United and United are top of the table.Do we say it is about mangement then.??<ok>

    Partly yes, but Utd were always going to have the advantage due to the experience within the Utd camp of winning when it matters, not to mention the obvious advantage Sir Alcy has over Mancini. Whilst City do have the better squad in my opinion Utd have the advantage when it comes to experience and siege mentality because they have been there and done it many times, City are disadvantage in some ways because they have an over-abundance of ego's which was the worry with them all along.

    I had some incredible heated arguments with a Man U mate a few years ago when we had Alonso, Masc, Torres et al.. because he thought we should have been the favourites over Utd but I was convinced that their advantage which you cannot buy is experience and the mentality of winning under pressure, that side takes a while to develop and cost us dearly in 2009. It takes little progressions year after year in my opinion and is why if City do not implode or panic they should win it next season because they have made progress this year and will be stronger for it.

    Another huge advantage Utd have and which Fergie should get credit for is that they can effectively add a few players here and there and not de-stabilise too much, the mentality is passed on and continued. Look at both the Utd and City squads and they are vastly different in winning titles, particular where it matters in England.

    We just have to try to improve year after year and keep building both in squad quality and in mentality. Arsenal are a prime example in how they imploded last season, they lack that extra bit of experience when it matters and you could argue that Spurs this season are doing the same, great teams and individuals but the psychological aspects take longer!

    It's ironic that you refer to Sir Alex as Sir Alcy. Maybe it's the booze that gives him so much strength and a clear mind. Dalglish likes a drink (or ten), he must be supping the wrong stuff.

    Not sure how well known it really is in Kenny's case; as for Sir Alcy its written all over his face!

    Fergie likes expensive red wine. I doubt he indulges too much as he'd struggle to be in the office at 7am and he has to attend functions most evenings when he no doubt takes a drink but he's never been reported as hammered. Alkies can't run football clubs effectively. Look at Poor old Cloughie. As for Kenny, he looks like a drunk who sleeps on a park bench.

    Sir Alcy though is quite a common term(at least on this board). So Kenny might be an alcy but Fergie isn't because you cannot possibly be an alcy and yet manage at the top level like Kenny does erm.........right

    I didn't say Kenny was an alky. He's hardly been pulling up trees with his management though!

    Neither did I, but you did imply he liked a drink and that he looks like a drunk that sleeps on a park bench.

    Kenny has only been able to survive the crisis- especially the recent one because of his legend status with the club.I do not think another British manager is going to be that lucky.<ok>

    He lurches from one ridiculous interview to another. In the short space Kenny has been back in front of a mic he's managed to stoke the furore around Suarez, suggested that a club should be judged by happy faces rather than points, and has now come out with this;

    "In the last three games there have been blatant decisions that have gone against us and are, frankly, inexcusable and I'd say inexplicable as well. I won't raise it with the Referees' Association. I have raised it now [in this interview] and it is up to them. I really think it should be their concern, don't you?"

    Almost nonsensical, but then;

    We don't get everything right, so it is understandable they don't either, but a wee bit of respect towards us would help the situation immensely.

    "Otherwise, people might think there is a conspiracy. We can't believe that, we can't let it affect us and take it into the games that are coming up because that would damage us. We have to keep going and ensure it doesn't affect the players. We can't let it get to that, where we think it is a conspiracy."

    IT'S ALL A CONSPIRACY - *quick get under the table and turn the radio up*

    Now then saint! when you use phrases like "non sequitur" you really should consider if the recipient is capable of understanding what they mean - if if you did use the highlighter!
