It wasn't the best start from us but we showed fantastic character to get ourselves in front going into the break. We had a great chance to go further ahead when Cody (McDonald) headed against the post and I thought we were on top for large periods" Last 3 Games Coventry 2-2 Peterborough Hull 0-2 Coventry Cardiff 2-2 Coventry Top 3 Scorers McSheffery 8 Deegan 3 McDonald 2 Possible Starting XI 01 Murphy 02 Keogh 03 Hussey 15 Cranie 26 Clarke 04 Clingan 16 Norwood 34 Bigirimana 11 McSheffrey 14 McDonald 18 Nimely Bristol City Bristol City Manager Derek McInnes On Saturdays Victory Over Nottingham Forest "The only part of history we want to create is staying in the Championship and we've still got work to do.I don't think anybody worked harder than anybody else. It was a proper team performance. We knew the significance of the game. Regardless of being away from home we felt it was a game we could win, but we knew it would take a huge effort from everybody.Thankfully we get the penalty kick after so many claims and appeals for them, and big Chris sticks it away so we had something to hold on to.It really galvanised us and we showed a resolve. Forest started to ask more questions but we more than earned the victory with just sheer commitment and guts to get the job done.I've had a pride in a lot of performances of late. We've been playing with a real vigour and determination.I don't think we've always been great and I don't think we were great today, but everything needed to win Championship games was there working for each other and doing the ugly side of the game very well." In theory Fontaine, Pearson and Pitman who did not play at all at Forest will be available - Adomah and Killkenny only came on in the second half - fitness may be important with playing 2 games in 3 days?
We have hope again - a dangerous thing for a City fan this season! Don't think he will leave Skuse out Shiny. If it was me I'd play Foster LB and Skuse RB. McAllister was nowhere near McCleary yesterday and we were lucky to get away with it. He is just too slow for me although he gives 100% and may keep his place for that reason. I don't really care who plays or how ugly it is as long as we get 3 points. Even if we do win I still think it will go down to the last game.
You could be right. I just think 2 holding midfielders at home in a game we MUST win would be too negative. So if he wants to bring back Fontaine I would rather he put one of the CBs on the bench and Skuse at RB. Would be surprised if he changes one of the CBs though as they played their hearts out at Forest. But then DM is constantly surprising me with his team changes.
Carey could have problems with vision following the injury he got yesterday, have to see what the swelling is like. So would not surprise me if Fontaine plays instead of Carey
McAllister was a weak point for us against Forest yesterday, first half a nightmare, second half abysmal but the team won, what do you do...?
No doubt that fontaine will be in the squad, i can see him dropping McAllister to the bench and maybe Kilkenny will replace skuse as he goes to RB ---------Gerken Skuse Fontaine Bikey Foster Adomah Kilkenny Cisse Pearson -------Stead Wood
Well yesterday was the first time i seen the new boys and bikey looks an Animal and he would of been a great patner alongside McManus, but i wasnt to impressed with Ephraim, was he any good against derby? Perhaps Adomah might sneak infront of him for the game tomorrow
I thought Ephraim did a good impression of the invisible man yesterday. He might have talent but doesn't look up for a fight - maybe just wants to play pretty football? Albert looked like he's lost confidence and I thought for the short time he was on the pitch Kilkenny was useless - gave the ball away virtually every time he got it. I can't believe how up-and-down he is, some games he's run the show and looked great but others truly shocking. I wouldn't want to have to make the team selection - whatever he does Del's options don't look great. Let's hope the big crowd and pressure to win don't have the usual effect on City.
I seriously cant wait to get down the gate tomorrow, ive haven't been buzzing like this since wembley
I'm in the Dolman bar 13:30, by the time I get through passport control, they don't even sell duty free coming from Wales to England
