Chuckle..! I think we've all thought that before. I'm not going to even try to predict the result. I'm pretty confident, but I'll leave it at that.
I'm guessing it will be our away kit There home kit has red stripes with blue which could be seen as a possible clash with ours :/
I agree with the comments saying we should play the strongest team possible as we need these 3 points badly. My team would be: Davis Richardson Fonte Jos Fox Puncheon Cork Hammond Lallana Lambert Sharp Subs: Martin Harding Falque Barnard Chaplow Guly and SDR were poor against pompey so i would drop both and give falque a go.
Home. We played in our home there in the cup and there wasn't a clash. However our yellow kit with blue shorts and socks would clash.
i would like to see richardson on the right wing with stephens playing right back. richardson seems the only guy able to put dangerous crosses in, and stephens will free him of his defensive responsibilities. not as quick as steeevie, but at least with an end product. hopefully jwp on the bench
Just realised that we are in the same sequence of games as the last time we played Palace. We had two disappointing results against Blackpool and Portsmouth (2 draws) when we beat Palace at SMS and hoped it was a turn around. It turned out not to be particularly but valuable 3 points.
Decisions, do i got out for the night or sit in and 'enjoy' the footie! not sure i can bare to be away haha
I really don't understand all of this "rest players ahead of the Reading game" staff. As I've already said, Reading don't play their second Easter weekend game until Tuesday evening - and that's a tough looking one away to Brighton. So if either side needs to be worried about tired players going into Friday, then it's Reading, not us.
In that case perhaps Guly and Chaplow will start and Lambert or Sharp begin on the bench. I don't think we should rotate much but our midfield may need more energy than against Portsmouth and Sharp has had his fitness problems and we cannot afford to have him injured too.
Kelv Frazer Jose Jos Fox Punch Cork Hammond Lallana Guly Lambert 4-5-1 with Guly in the hole Sharps on fire but we need protection from the flanks with their pacey wingers which is what we struggled with against blackpool. Also should keep Sharp fresh for reading. No point worrying about that yet though if the lads are fit to play tommorow then play them going into reading 3 games without a win is not something I want to do.
And at this point, the Reading game is no more important than the Palace game, as far as I`m concerned. We can`t take points for granted; win against Palace, and we are guaranteed to exit the weekend in the top two.
I don't know why, but I feel really confident ahead of tomorrow's game. A repeat of Orient away last year I think ;-) 0-2 Saints
If Guly starts I hope it's not on the Right Midfield, that is not his place, he is better in the hole behind the strikers.
Davis Richardson Fonte Hooiveld Fox de Ridder Hammond Cork Lallana Guly Sharp Subs: Martin, Harding, Falque, Lambert I dont want Lambert starting, come on at half time if needed. He wasnt right on Saturday, when players arent quite right they are high risk for injury. An injury to Lambert could be fatal at this stage. We should also use all three subs. As i said before, Falque should be given his chance
