This! We worked hard and defended ok. But I cannot forget that we could not pass to each other, had under 30% possession, and we were at least as bad, probably worse, when we had 11 players on the pitch. I normally praise Adel, but apart from better work defensively,he was back to his worst, his passing was woeful and so often he tried for the near impossible with other players in much better positions.

No not 3, but we probably needed 1! But none of know this!

Did you think we passed the ball well then Col? Did Adel have a good game? Come on you can't even say he played bad yesterday because Barton was giving him aggro. Yeh we tried hard enough but so we bl**dy should! Basically we were rubbish, and couldn't have complained if it had been 5 - 0.

Its sacrilege to criticize Taarabt on here Oslo, didn't you know? I know the boy can be outstanding on his day but he can be dreadful also. That's why he'll never make it at the very top of the game.

You do talk bollocks at times mate!
The 2nd goal was down to Adel trying to run away with the ball and control it at the same time and gifting the ball back to them (although it was also the 1st time we didn't come out and attack the ball on the edge of the box!!). If I'd done a match report I would have said this.
However.....to describe QPR as "rubbish" when they battled at Old Trafford for 70 mins with 10 men (and all the reports I have read praised them) is, quite honestly, ridiculous!! Get behind the team FFS!!

Great thread. Went to the game, and went all that way to see the ref ruin it completley and ruin our chances of making a decent game of it.

Nevertheless, each and every player was excellent in keeping the score down - I think everyone around me knew that had to be our aim once derry was sent off wrongly. What a terrible decision it was - and we have had so much of this in the PL this season. The refs are worse than the ones in the NPC.

Fans were brilliant aswell - what a library OT really is. Shocking. We supported the team all the way through, even straight after they scored their 2nd. Top support.

Just a shame we come away talking about another poor ref decision.

My take on the performance yesterday, I felt for the first time in ages that we might just find ourselves in the Premiership next season if we can sustain the character we showed. Taarabt's mistake aside that led to the Scholes goal, I thought we defended magnificently - this was ManU at OT and look at the talent that came at us in waves. Credit to Sparky and his team and the players. If we can stay consistent, we have a real chance. Swansea is such a critical game for us now. We have to make LR a cauldron on Wednesday night.

its a daft game when we look at a defeat ... we rode our luck against Man Utd could have been 4 or 5 easily ... it wasn't ..it was two.... the wood work saved us. the Derry decision was wrong and Kenny saved us ... but it's his job and he done that very well. fans on here are getting dafter every day.

YOU HAVE TO TAKE YOUR GAME TO UNITED TO HAVE ANY CHANCE AT OLD TRAFFORD ... we didn't ... we couldn't and were very lucky to get a 2-0 defeat ...SO why not ride our luck and move on. Sparky knew this and our best chances are in the next 5 days ... this is the focus and Swansea must be dispatched Wed night and West Brom have to be beaten .... this is it 6 points must be our aim nothing less now there is no time otherwise

How long will it be before a team takes the FA to court for a refereeing decision?

What if we are relegated by 1 point and Bolton survive? That goal of Hills that wasn't given, if it had that's a 3 point swing in our favour as we'd have an extra point and Bolton would have 2 less.

That 1 decision could yet see us relegated and the result could be as much as £40-60 million in lost revenue.

Today's game is all about the money an if the FA's referees keep getting crucial decisions wrong then why shouldn't a team be able to hold the accountable?
