If they actually implemented that rule on a consistent basis, each game would have at least 10 penalties each game with the amount of shirt pulling that goes on at corners.
same can be said about targeting divers though. And there were loads at the start of the season for shirt pulling.
Also, if Ashley Young is offside, do NOT, on any means, give it as offside Oh, and do give red cards for touching someones back
Well if the linesman does his job then... A) Offside is given B) QPR have a free kick C) Duffy doesnt place his hand on any part of Ashley Young D) Ashley Young doesnt go down E ) Penalty is not given F) Referee doesnt make a hole for himself in giving the penalty and then having to give the red card for last man. Conclusion, weekend off for the linesman next weekend.
Ever considered that if the refs did impelemnt the shirt puling rule, then yes it would lead to several penalties being conceded in the first weeks games,but the following weekend it would decline rapidly, and at the end of the month the message would sink in. I for one would welcome stricter enforcement of this rule. And yes, if it meant United conceding a penalty, so be it
It was a terrible decision to award Utd a penalty and send off Derry. However, given that it hurts City, it is for the good of the game. Therefore the lino and ref should be applauded. Also on this occasion Young should be applauded for the dive. It is great to see teams, officials, and fans coming together to help the game when it is in need
It's incredible that United fans can actually defend Young on this. Be happy with the win, by all means, but making excuses for going down as if shot is cringeworthy. It's a cancer in the game and is only getting worse while people bury their heads in the sand.
Who is defending Young? The fault lies with the linesman, he made the mistake that ultimately led to the penalty.
The penalty wouldn't have been given if Young hadn't been such a ****ing cheat so Young can be at fault aswell
Or if Duffy hadnt made the refs decision for him, why on earth were his hands anywhere near Young in the first place. Asking for trouble imo.

Oh I am perfectly serious. $hity are a disgrace to football and will completely destroy it if they are allowed to get away with what they are doing. No doubt most of this team of mercenaries will be loaned out next year and they will splash another obscene amount of money to buy trophies. However this year they are a laughing stock. Hundreds of millions and nothing to show for it - and going for the title they played scared against us because they knew, despite their millions if they tried to play us at football, we'd smash them. I don't like Utd either - but that is based on rivalry. I absolutely despise $hity for everything they stand for.
