Time to get back to football and Tuesday night, who will you be supporting? Will you be patriotic and support your country. Stand proud and hope they stuff Ghana. Cheer on Bent if he is playing in the hope he can get a hatrick. Sing the National Anthem with pride and hope that god does indeed save our glourious Queen. OR, like me, Support my club and the Sunderland players, Mensah, Muntari, Gyan and the rest of our beloved Ghana team. Cheer when Mensah snuffs Bent out of the game. Cry with emotion when Gyan gets his hatrick. Be amazed at how Muntari runs midfield. Stand with pride when we sing God bless our homeland Ghana, And make our nation great and strong, Bold to defend forever The cause of Freedom and of Right. Fill our hearts with true humility Make us cherish fearless honesty, And help us to resist oppressors' rule With all our will and might evermore. Hail to thy name, O Ghana To thee we make our solemn vow; Steadfast to build together A nation strong in Unity; With our gifts of mind and strength of arm, Whether night or day, in the midst of storm, I know who I will be backing.
and you belong to Newcastl but you would never guess by the time you spend on here, will ignore your drivel now.
Although I will be watching our Ghana contigent with interest, that will not affect me wanting my national team to win.
I'm a hybrid. I'll sing my national anthem with pride, and, yes, I will hope that god saves our glorious queen. I'm English and proud of it. But that doesn't mean I'm blinkered. On Tuesday, we will watch a football match - nothing more than that. And I'll be cheering for the team which plays the most pleasing and exciting football, and that, I believe, is Ghana. I'll be over the moon to see the Sunderland lads do well. Having said that, I hope that Bent gets a goal. I can't understand anyone who doesn't sympathize with a man who scored 24 EPL goals and sees his World Cup place given to men who scored 13 or 14. I deplored the injustice served upon Kevin Phillips, and I deplore the injustice served upon Bent as well. It was simply wrong. Forget the Villa-Sunderland issue. It's not about that. I just don't like injustice ... end of. Bent 1, Gyan 2 - I'd settle for that.
sorry to hear about the hybrid thing cutey, have you seen the doctor about it, you may be able to get a cream for it. Still, it will teach you to go out with those mucky girls in the big market.
Thought you muckems only cheered for Paraguay and Darren Bent, or is that information a couple of months old.
I'm not sure it was that or the big girls from the mucky market, syd. It could have been in the hell-holes of Whitburn or somewhere for all I know.
I am English, and will support England. Cappello is a ****ing twat though, i wish he'd have some class and **** off. Pardon the Francais.
Looks like its only me to learn the Ghana anthem, now, how does it go... God bless our homeland Ghana, And make our nation great and strong, Bold to defend forever The cause of Freedom and of Right. Fill our hearts with true humility Make us cherish fearless
I'm British first, English second. Those Welsh twats who decided to boo the national Anthem should be shot - happy to volunteer as well - so I was happy to see them lose, badly (hohoho) and also glad to see Bent score. Having said all that I really hate Postman Pat and want to see him gone asap. Won't happen though as the clever chaps from the FA extended his contract before - yes, BEFORE - the WC and we'll have him until the thing runs out, but would enjoy seeing him have to explain how Ghana put 5 past HIS side. It's a friendly, win, lose or draw it means exactly nothing to me.
I want Ghana to win aswell as the 3 Sunderland lads they hav some canny players Essien of course, Anthony Annan, Isaac Vorsah and Andre Ayew to name a few
Problem is he will probably break both of his legs in the tackle. On a serious note I stopped getting excited about England some time ago, Beckham, love him or hate him, showed a real pride in wearing the Engalnd shirt, not sure many do now. I honestly could not care less what they do and my only reason for looking forward to Tuesday is because Sunderland players are involved.
