We're now seeing why it's so difficult to overhaul Utd

Discussion in 'Arsenal' started by Jayram_Football, Apr 8, 2012.

  1. What just happened vs QPR underlines why you have to be truly exceptional side to beat Utd to the title. You have to be so much better that the cheating does not influence the final table. For those that call these decisions mistakes - sorry but no way. The linesman was looking straight at an offside Young and the ref was looking straight at the challenge and it was easy to spot the dive. No other explanation but cheating.

Of course I will get grief from some who will no doubt miss use the term 'conspiracy theory', but even they might be hard pressed to explain even the single decision today, let alone the string of decisions that are now going Utd's way.

Personally I don't care this year because it will hurt City (and that is good for football), but once again when it's needed the decisions are going Utd's way and it appears even obvious and blatant cheating will be used to influence the results if needed.

When Everton had a perfectly good goal ruled out v arsenal a couple of Weeks ago was that a pro arsenal conspiracy to keep you in the top 4 or just a pisspoor decision?
Was chelseas win yesterday down to a conspiracy or a pisspoor decision?

  3. This is the typical response. All teams get decisions that favour them and some that don't. It's seems to be Utd that come out consistently on the plus side.

This is true and has been evident for many years.

If I can be bothered, I might try and compile a list of 'bad decisions' for the entirety of next season. See which clubs get more etc.

Everyone knows Man U get decisions in their favour. A lot of the time when other teams get this sort of decision in their favour its when they are playing the teams challenging Man U for the title. If you did a compliation of the poor decisions and impact on the league it would sway it so far in Man u's favour that there would be no doubt.

On average Man U have more favorable decisions than any EPL side, it is hard to argue with.
And I have never ever seen a penalty as ridiculous as today was ever given to Arsenal. It was like - Blatant offside? Do not worry go on, score, No, you still can't? You chose to dive instead? No worries, here is your penalty guys. I had a feeling that should Rooney miss, they would ask him to take it again.
I am actually glad Man U are winning, but it was sooo ridiculous, QPR must demand an official apology from FA.

    The most ridiculous penalty ever?
As a spur I can remember plenty of shocking decisions given against us at OT but seriously...
We played yiu at the first NLD at the emerates...you won 3 nil. The first was a wrongly given penalty, the second was off side and the 3rd was a handball by an arsenal player...conspiracyr or **** luck?
We either use TV technology or put up with mistakes but stop with the conspiracy ****.

  9. I would say one of the most ridiculous ever yes - at a crucial time in the season.

As has been pointed out, all teams do get decisions - not up for debate - but Utd seem to get them at crucial stages when they really need them, season after season after season. Your examples of other incidents are not relevant.

Somebody already does that, and creates a premier league table based on the differences them changes would of made..

  11. I think in that study, Utd show up as having 9 less PL titles - cant be sure though.

Someone did a table with every bad decision 'fixed' and Arsenal got something like an extra 9 points with United losing four.

Of course it would be different, as say, IDK, a team would attack more if behind and maybe score anyway, etc, but it goes to show that ref decisions play a huge part in deciding who's where.

    Here

Look at the table at the bottom - Confirms what we've known for many years, we get the toughest luck.

Untill refs lose their jobs due to bad decisions they will continue to take bribes from man utd and chelsea. And we wont win the league untill we have 4 players who would make a world 11 again...

    Not relevant?
Wolves had a player wrongly sent off against you...who says that decision saved you from losing? Everton would have got a draw against you so you could have had 3 points less so could have been in serious danger of not being in the top 4...
Personally I think that would be a crass arguement but it is as valid as any other.

Thats rich coming from a club who are the media darlings and get the decisions to reflect this. Parker "should" of been sent off at least 20 times this year.

  17. No it is not relevant, but you appear not to be getting the point. Call out as many individual decisions as you like. The trend for one team and the overall effect of those decisions are more important. This means when they occur and how much influence they have on results and trophies.

Being a Spurs fan remembercolin, you should know that United have the refs in their pocket, especially at OT.

    This <ok>
I was of course at the Stoke v Spurs game and right enough, you we're robbed..

    Spin the coin....
We played Citeh the other week, Barry fouls Whelan, a red card and a stonewall penalty neither given.. Balloteli dives all over the place watch him today, blow on him he will fall over the cheating ****

It's happening every week Utd today? Wigan we're robbed yesterday.

What the odds something contraversial happens in the game today?

This hurts to say(I'm a Stoke fan) but I hope Arsenal win and win well.
