I know all our attention will be on Selhurst but what do we think about the other games? If Bristol City can beat Coventry they will be 9 points clear of the skates with only five games left. Surely too big a gap. I'm hoping B'ham can continue with their good form and take at least a point off West Ham. We could also do with wins for Cardiff Blackpool and Boro. That will make Tuesdays game for Brighton an absolute must win if they want a play off place.
Not sure that will make a difference. I think teams play better when the pressure is off sometimes. No easy games in this league!
Maybe, but I'm always more comfortable playing teams who have nothing to play for and are already on their summer holidays. Even more so if the manager decides to give one or two of the kids a run out as well. So I think that we're lucky in that regard that we have Palace and Posh to still play (albeit away), and I would quite like it if we could throw Boro and/or Coventry into that category as well. Barnsley have had nothing to play for for the last one month or so. And look at how points they've given up during that spell. Palace likewise. (Palace's only win in their last eight games was against....Barnsley).
Top of the league and you still care about what happens to us, talk about having a inferiority complex.
We're not top of the league though, so what happens to you is a distraction from our troubles perhaps. You're top so you have no reason or need to care about what happens to us!
Would love us to beat Palace, Bristol City win, and Pompey lose. That'd make up for yesterday's ****e.
I'd rather Saints win, Bristol City win, West Ham lose and Pompey Lose. Sorry. got to go. Jessica Alba just rang the doorbell.
Did you just admit that your season has been so dire, that your relying on the failure of your rivals to make it a success? Wow...
You are potentially about to disappear from the football league, and if you dont you will be existing in league 1. You should have no reason or need to care about what happens to us. You should be worrying about yourselves.
A win for us will pile the pressure on the Hammers. Crowd will be very nervous so fingers crossed they drop points.
I would rather Saints won. That's it. What anyone else does is up to them. But if I have any remaining enthusiasm after Saints, which is unlikely, I'd rather see Southern teams do better than Northern ones. That's my regional bias showing. What I'm most enthused about today is the upcoming Qatar MotoGP. The new tiddlers for this season - Moto3 - will be starting within the next hour, I believe.
We out and out despise you and have every right to pray that your almost hopeless struggle for survival culminates in relegation irrelevant of where we are in the league! It just so happens we're also top and potentially on our way back to the Premiership.
I think that you protest too much really. Tell me that the Fratton faithful don't cheer if Saints have lost a game when they announce the scores over the tannoy? We are rivals, some fans being more extreme in their feelings than others, but I really couldn't imagine a significant number of our fans running onto the pitch to celebrate losing a game of football as happened at West Brom in 2005!
I'm visitting friends in Bristol, so I'll be cheering them on against Coventry. As someone else said, if Coventry are already relegated come the last game of the season, they'll have nothing to play for, which'll make it a lot easier to beat them than if they have to win / draw for survival. Of course, my heart will be in London and I shall be jumping for joy when the tannoy announces that Saints are beating Crystal Palace at half / full time.
