i was just watching it now, and to be honest he looks in good shape, i'm too young to know how he played for us during the 80's but what i've read of him is he could've been world-class if he weren't injured.
I know, just watching him talk got me thinking, how many league titles would we've won if it weren't for his injuries.
Half of his injuries were due to him being a pisshead. Quality when he was sober though. I remember when Fergie bombed him out to Villa an he went on to be one of their best defenders.
This thread got me thinking so I brought his auto-bio. Brilliant read. I'm up to the part when he signs for Utd. Big Ron say's to him "We'll sign you for £110 a week". Paul thought it was a bit low so wanted to haggle a bit on the wages. Big Ron say's to him "Your not happy with it..Well piss off back to Ireland then" Quality stuff!!
