I suppose the same thoughts of resting players were in Nigel's head when he left Cork on the bench yesterday. Unfortunately it didn't work out that way. We have a squad for exactly these reasons and I expect a few of them to make an appearance on Monday.
one game at a time i think. I would play Davis Richardson Fonte Hoover Fox Falque Cork Hammond Lallana Sharp Barnard subs: lambert(didn't look fit yesterday) punch martin guly chaplow
Davis Richardson,Fonte,Hoover,Fox Puncheon,Hammond,Chaplow,Lallana, Lambert,Sharp subs Martin,Harding,Cork,De Ridder,Guly
Reading don't play until Tuesday night though, so if anyone needs to worry about keeping players fresh for Friday, then it's not us.
Davis Richardson Fonte Hooiveld Fox Puncheon Hammond Cork Lallana Sharp Lambert Martin, Chaplow, Guly, Barnard (Don't care who the fifth sub is. Harding, De Ridder, Falque, JWP, Butterfield. Doesn't bother me. On the basis on his limited chances so far, maybe Falque?)
forecast for tomorrow is for heavy rain all day with strong winds. Fully expecting an absolute minefield of a pitch
Thanks! Wikipedia fact- their average attendance last year as 15k, our 6000 is going to be a massive part of the support!
We have the entire side I think plus bound to be Saints sprinkled around the ground.Palace are still selling tickets!
i am driving up tomorrow,as i need to get back for work tomorrow night, anyone know a safe place to park?
Lots of side streets near to the ground. Should be pretty safe with so many Saints in attendance. Just take note of any street signs advising of parking restrictions, or else you win run the risk of being towed away.
Yes in a ideal world we do need to rest a few, but we also need to win. Butterfield can not run at all, infact I would say even Jaidi is faster then him. Harding seems to have gone down hill from the player he was, his positioning is awful. We need to win at all costs against Palace, if we don't I'll be even more nervous then I am now.
