I have read a few things on these forums that have made me laugh/cry, but 'Foy being in Harry's pocket' almost takes the biscuit....
No shame and dirty team??? You had the same number of bookings as us. Good luck with 5th place this year and finding a new manager in the summer......also try specsavers!
Looks like you were wearing the same glasses that the idiot Foy was - because that's the only way that the match ended with an equal number of bookings. You will find that most of the comments on this thread will be critical of our own teams lack of penetration, but cannot help but admonish Sunderlands cynical fouling and total lack of ambition. But if that style of footie floats your boat then crack on!!
Mate you sound bitter, we played terrible and your all great and mighty side couldn't break us down. Cynical fouling and lack of ambition lol, I'll think you find we will have our highest position in 10 years after being relagation threatened at the beginning of the season. Man up, dry your eyes and remember football doesn't always have to be the beautiful game. We were fantastic against man city but just couldn't get going today, so enjoy your sour grapes and I'll enjoy MON building in his first season, don't blame us for not scoring and finishing out of the champions league spots.
You were rubbish today fella, you got that right. Thing is you were just rubbish to watch. However, as far as MON ("the great rebuilder's") plan went, you played well. Couldn't get going? No. Wouldn't get going? Absolutely. When your best player is Lee Cattermole you have REAL problems. As for your fortune telling, don't give up your day job. Surely you have foreseen the fact that Sessegnon (wtf must he think is going on?) will do the Frank Bough at the end of the season and that going forward you will finish middle to bottom again and so it will carry on until next time you get relegated? And you know what? If you keep on playing like that nobody else will give a toss.
Highest position in 10years and you're still not in the European spots. Says all I need to know about your club. Newcastle really are the Pride of the North East. Enjoy mid-table obscurity with Fulham and Stoke until O'Neill bottles it and resigns again....
Haha bunch of london cocks, couple of good years and you are the pride of London, can't even beat a struggling arsenal this, love your deluded ways, probably the next west ham, see bitter boys!
Thanks for dropping by Bexino. We'll return the compliment to you in a few years time when the top clubs in the North-East are Newcastle, Hartlepool, Gateshead, Whitley Bay and Blunderland, and in that order. <smiley>
Sunderland played a depressing version of anti-football. Stoke without the long throws. Horrible to watch, and Sunderland isn't the first team O'Neill has got playing in that dull, negative fashion. He did the same at Leicester. For all our faults as fans, Spurs fans simply wouldn't tolerate such a display from us at home. I'm amazed the Sunderland crowd was so tolerant, but I suppose it's points first, football second. All in all a decent point for us, I think we need 14 more to be be confident of getting 4th place, but 12 will probably be enough.
Five years in the top 5 is something you could only dream of as you lay there under your Mackems duvet set. Arsenal struggling? They're fourth you moron. Compared to you, the Stoke of weirside, we are ****ing Barcelona. Its not one game against bunch of skilless cloggers who are scared to play football at home, that counts. It's what happens over 38 games and as ever over 38 games we are better than you. A lot better.
We can't beat a struggling Arsenal? There must have been a collective delusion about us beating them 2-1 earlier this season, then...
Having read the match report in the Sunday Times this morning maybe WE were watching a different game........ Either that or the correspondent worships at the shrine of Sam Allardyce!! I totally accept that we lacked potency yesterday but to suggest (as this does) that Sunderland were a creative and driving force - with equal possession - is somewhat ludicrous. That being said, we need to hit the ground running tomorrow. At home, hopefully that should happen.
The Observer's report is a bit better, even if it does say that McLean was "frequently double marked" when Walker ignored him for a lot of the game and pressed on forward. Also it seems to think Sessegnon had a certain goal blocked by Gallas but I'm not entirely sure what they're talking about, I certainly don't remember it. Gardner also seems to be praised for his two footed tackle, I still think it's a booking. Jumping in two footed has never been about getting the ball, I remember Keane getting sent off against Birmingham despite getting the ball.
The truth hurts does it not, a couple of reasonable seasons and the spuds think they are better than the Gooners. Swansea always boast of their possession stats which are largely complied from the keeper rolling the ball out to the back 4 and them passing it around in their own half. Pretty much what the spuds did yesterday..also keeping the little cockney sparrow and Sandros(?) in front of the back 4, in case we caught you on the break was very negative and very boring just like Swansea. I took 3 young lads to the game yesterday and I had bigged Bale up to them and after the game they remarked he is not as good as I told them he was. We had more corners and more shots than you so most folk understand how poor the spuds were. Yes I dislike Newcastle, but I hope that they and the Gooners get in CL places at least they are not deluded idiots and play attacking football..see you on the way down next season after Flash has left and screwed up England.
Try responding to what I actually said rather than what you think I said. There's only one person who's come across as bitter and deluded and that's you.
