Valbuena anyone? We can dream :) I like the looks of Hoarau aswell, 6ft 4 target man with good technical ability and a decent goalscoring tally. Jeremy Menez is another good player I'll like at St.James Park. Benzema would be unreal(never happen but a very nice thought), Yann M'Vila would be great and Gamiero/Gervinho would be awesome :)

France were **** in the world cup but they do definitely have class players.

We can use Tiote to lure Gervinho, and Ben Arfa to lure Gameiro.

What? Shola's **** mate. Probably get sold in the summer IMO if we buy two quality strikers, leaving Best and Ranger as back-ups/competition. Lover and Kuqi can **** off aswell.

    Don't worry I'll make sure he's injured.

    Noooo.
Keep Shola, loan out Ranger, sell Lover, Kuqi released. Buy two quality strikers. Elmander on a free who can be back up with Best.

Not sure I could bare to see Shola be useless in another shirt!

  8. What about Best? Best has been nothing short of excellent this season, if he keeps up his scoring form, he deserves to stay in our starting line up.

    **** Shola, he's ****e. 2 goals outside the derbys. ****e.

Well fair enough. Send Ranger to Boro or a decent mid-table/top-half Championship side. Sell Lover and release Kuqi. Keep Strolla and Best as cover. Buy two quality strikers.. leaving room for a 5th striker, maybe young Ameobi/Airey? Elmander would be nice on a free but I doubt he'll want to be 4th choice striker or something, at his age especially he'll want regular football.

Great news. Finally a positive media report. Clairfontaine should be next on Graham Carrs list but knowing him hes already been there with Liverpool scout following him

Best has been excellent I'm not denying that and no doubt he'll get his chances, I just think if we buy big in the summer then he'll be nothing more than back up. He's still only young too so hopefully he'll stay for some years to come and eventually blossom into a beautiful beautiful player.

Yeah fair point, doubt he'll wanna be back up like. Young Ameobi/Airey could be a good choice. Suppose would rather see the youngsters able to come through more!

I think Shola's contract runs up at the end of the 2011/2012 season so that's why IMO we should cash in now before he goes on a free. Ranger and Best are both more than capable of being 3rd choice/4th choice respectively with Airey/Ameobi(young) acting as 5th choices. It also depends on the formation we play, if it's with one up top then we may not need many strikers at all.

  14. We could sign a better play, but Best is a prolific goal scorer, or proving to be, and that's what matters in the premeir league. Goals. We've played as good as a 6th place team, but got the results of a lower mid table team.

I suppose I'm just betting on the whole Gervinho [Striker] Ben Arfa strike force, which would as you say eliminate the need for many strikers, especially as Gervinho can play in the striker role as well as on the wing.

It's safe to say none of us know anything about what's gonna happen. But it's good to know that if we do buy big and Best ends up as back up, then we'll have a pretty decent back up!

Who knows, we've got months of guessing...
