USING THIS BOARD TO GIVE AS MANY FOLKS A WAKE UP CALL, if its out of order Im sure a mod will delete, but an eye opener non the less.
    ....................................................................................................................................................................................................

    BRITISH OLD AGED PENSIONER

(bearing in mind they worked hard and paid their Income Tax and

National Insurance contributions to the British Government all their

    working life)

    Weekly allowance: £106.00?

    IMMIGRANTS/REFUGEES LIVING IN BRITAIN

(No Income Tax and National Insurance contribution whatsoever)

    Weekly allowance: £250.00

    BRITISH OLD AGED PENSIONER

    Weekly Spouse Allowance: £25.00?

    ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS/REFUGEES LIVING IN BRITAIN

    Weekly Spouse Allowance: £225.00

    BRITISH OLD AGED PENSIONER

    Additional Weekly Hardship Allowance: £0.00?

    ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS/REFUGEES LIVING IN BRITAIN

    Additional Weekly Hardship Allowance: £100.00

A British old age pensioner is no less hard up than an illegal

    immigrant/refugee yet receives nothing

    BRITISH OLD AGED PENSIONER

    TOTAL YEARLY BENEFIT £6,000?

    ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS/REFUGEES LIVING IN BRITAIN

    TOTAL YEARLY BENEFIT: £29,900

Please read all and then forward to all your contacts so that we can

lobby for a decent state pension.

After all, the average pensioner has paid taxes and contributed to the

growth of this country for the last 40 to 60 years.

Sad isn't it? Surely it's about time we put our own people first.

Please have the guts to forward this.

    I JUST DID!

Not a fair comparison. People who write up these inflammatory chain mail messages really need to think. You could aim the same thing at doley scum who have never worked a day in their life. Everyone knows the pension system is screwed up so it distorts the figures. Our elderly people are treated the worst in the West by some distance.

I wonder how poor Syd will cope :bandit:

Me and Syd face the same problem, but some other folks arnt as well placed /lucky/ not had the family backing. but none the less should have a quality of life, which at the moment they dont. And what can they see as being the future? must be realy bleak and hurtful. A nightmare they cant escape. A dark dark place.

I did not notice your age!! True, you do. It is something that needs to be looked at. To have the elderly living in squalor, when they have done so much for this country is an outrage. They need to revisit how they calculate pensions. People need to be better educated nowadays to prevent the crisis from getting worse. I am saving now as I know 50 years from now I could be in a mess if I rely on the government. Sadly people were not to know of the crap that was likely to happen now. Count yourself lucky to not be in a position where you are in trouble and I hope you never do find yourself in a bad place financially.

I do feel children have a moral responsibility for their parents when they reach a certain age though. They raise you, bring you up and give you everything you need. Help them out the best you can. Don't leave them to rot. I certainly won't!!!

    I won't delete it Bill.

I'm not anti-foreigner (I live in Spain!), but I do believe a country would be well advised to look after it's own first.

That said, a lazy ****er is a lazy ****er, and people who refuse to earn a living for no good reason, should get **** all, IMO.

Good lad, knowledge is a wonderful thing, but fifty plus years ago the promises were one thing, todays reality is another, we paid graduated pension for an enhanced pension. BUT whatever government silently deleted it. so all the money working people paid dissapeared,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,now how strange is that?

There are loads of immigrants who have and still are enhancing our nation and contributing in a positive way to our society.
I'm also sure that not all immigrants will be paid the money that is stated in that article. My main concern lies with the lack of integration, especially with established Asian Muslim communities, who are establishing their own communities seperate from the indigenous population, which in my opinion is creating huge social problems.

This was not meant to be an ethnic thread, only one of pensioners home grown, having paid all dues throughout their working lives, having less money and rights, as non home grown non tax payers, if you like. One thing is for sure we all grow old or die. Dying may be preferable for some, who have the poorest quality of life. but mr raw, make sure you have loadsadosh when you get to the age, or the very thing Im typing right now will happen to you,,,,,or even worse. Think about it.

Don't be silly, things like this HAVE to be seen by everyone. What a soft touch this country is. How much Foreign Aid did we give to India again? Nice Grand Prix they've built isn't it?

I've made sure i'll be alright Bill, from a very young age <ok>

I fully understand your sentiments though, our country DOES look after the wrong people, and that isn't aimed at immigrants, it's aimed at lazy no-gooders who think the state owes them a life.

Mon Im not skint, and after a bit of physio, may have a year before I retire, although, Im in a good situation, whereby my knowledge and a pair of decent hands at sheet metalwork, structures, airframes, gas turbines, means I can prety much work till I die.........BUT......OTHER FOLKS have paid their dues and have less money, maybe had lowly paid jobs all their lives, but STILL paid taxes, for what reward?
Whilst illegals etc get more, shame on succesive governments, actually they are all greedy ****ers.

I know what your saying Bill, unfortunately the black hole in the state pension scheme has been neglected to the point that it's beyond repair, certainly if I was mid-50's onwards, and hadn't planned ahead, i'd have concerns.

I hear £500 a week bandied about for the unemployed. I am unemployed (but trying to do something about it, but living on teeside its a SOB to get a job as every ****er else is out of work as well).

    4 kids.

    Unemployment benefit = £160 a fortnight
    Child tax Credit = £140 a week

    £220 a week

Child Benefit about £120 a month.

70% of the above goes on the kids, food, clothes, etc etc. I think we have been out 2 times in 3 years, been on 1 holiday in that time and my dad paid for that.

I worked for 25 years before that, for a local Council, a Council job used to be a job for life, its not any more.

People can call me what the **** they like, but I have worked and if I get lucky I will work again, but all this Unemployed people get 100`s a week to piss up against the wall, is just a fallacy.

A single unemployed person I think gets about £60 a week.

PS: I know there are lazy ****s who just dont want a job, but lumping all unemployed ppl (not so much in this thread but i have seen it a lot on the net) under one roof, is just a load of bollocks.

I'm a nurse and will be expected to to work to 68+ for less money whilst the rich get richer and we all get shafted. The only way is Class War. Eat the Rich.
