    From the bbc- http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17627961

Cardiff City manager Malky Mackay has hit out at the Easter weekend schedule that he believes favours Championship play-off rivals Watford.
Mackay's former club host Blackpool on Friday before facing the Bluebirds on Monday.
Cardiff travel to Middlesbrough on Saturday before hosting Watford two days later at Cardiff City Stadium.
"Teams have got extra rest on us going into the game on Monday, which I find a bit bizarre," said Mackay.
"The fact that we've all got to play this weekend - some teams to not get the extra day's recovery and some teams to get that, I find that a bizarre decision.
"But it's not about teams playing regular Tuesday nights or playing catch-up games."
Mackay believes barring televised games, all Bank Holiday and festive fixtures should kick off in unison.
He said: "These are the times where everyone should be doing things on the same day, just like they do on the last day of the season [when] everyone kicks off at the same time.
"I think over the Easter period and the Christmas period, especially when it's shorter than normal time between games then, that's when it affects teams.
"It's about recovery. It's about players recovering to go out and play again - that's what it's about.
"So that certainly makes a difference."
The Bluebirds are currently eighth on 61 points in the Championship table, a place below Middleshrough, and four points ahead of 11th place Watford.

Doesn't sound to confident does he?

TBF it is a little unfair that Cardiff only get the 2 day rest when others get 3. Not much of an excuse though as thats what a squad is for and why players are supposed to be super fit. Besides, the fixture list came out ages ago so................

A certain home goal by a certain full back came two days after Malky Mackay's team travelled to Newcastle. And we won 3-1 that night.

I'm liking the way we are being described as their play-off rivals.

Who would have thunk that a few weeks ago ?

Errm isn't iy up to the individual club to decide whether they play on Good Friday or Easter Saturday - perhaps mankey should be talking to his chairman rather than making himself look a pratt in public. Afterall he has enough prattness coming to him when Watford finish above Cardiff and take the last play off place ... looks like mankey will be in the dole queue with Dave Jones!

Even if the game was moved to Tuesday he'd still be complaining. S**t happens, it's life.

aww, such a shame...i feel for him. Maybe the Cardiff fans will finally get what they want, and see some of the players that haven't been given a chance much this season, including Conway! Naa, Malky insists on playing the same team week in, week out...i guess they'll just have to be knackered.

When Malky see's that Dyche is playing Deeney up-front he will probably look confused/surprised. " dont worry about Deeney boys, he's a winger so he wont do anything tonight as he's playing up-front " ;)

If we put out a fresh team (i.e at least 4 changes) then Cardiff will be on their knee's gasping for breathe in the final 20 mins.

Somebody please tell me that Mapps is okay to play on Monday. Dyche said he'd be out for 1 or 2 weeks and he said this over 2 weeks ago so.............????

Ive heard that Brendan Rodgers wants him as his no:2, could see that happening TBH as it would obviously be a step up for him.

Mapps is unlikely to play this one. He was originally only going to be out for those 2 weeks, but then he had to have the boot fitted which delayed physio. Once the physio started it was meant to be 2-3 weeks i think. But im not certain.
