I'm all for a balanced view of the game, but I think you're showing too much respect for our opponents! Granted I think they did very very well considering their league position, squad size, and the loss of key players, I think 'the best performance by a visiting side this season' is flattering them slightly... You just have to look at the stats: Saints 14 shots, Pompey: 8, along with more possession and about half the fouls that Pompey committed, along with the fact the Davis didn't really have to make any saves. Agreed the last goal was sensational, and I'd happily say Portsmouth were the most passionate visiting side this season, I thought we were the better side.
The last 5 minutes today, was like finding the bird who has just blown your "mind" was actually a bloke.
Hoovers twitter this evening :- "Lost the lead twice today, unacceptable and gutted over it! No time to mourn though, only to recover for monday! Still a great week ahead!2 A previous one read "Great dinner with our japanese superstar yesterday! @ChunTadanari made him a well spiced chicken with thyme, he loved it." Seems a pretty good camaraderie going on at the Club?
A real shame we couldn't win today. Fair play to pompey, they played well and I guess a draw was kind of a fair result,I'm gutted that we conceded in the last 10 seconds of the game...Chuck Norris ... Let's win our remaining games and go up!
There is a good unity and spirit amongst Nigel and the players. If we keep getting behind them whilst West Ham keep groaning at theirs, it could make all the difference.
He should have checked the tattoos and body piercings first then. Flowers and creoles, yes. Anchors and a row of sovs, no.
Our fullbacks yet again were pillaged down the wings. We look extremely, extremely vulnerable down the flanks. Lack of width an issue.
i don't think i've ever had such a swing of emotions from euphoria to despair in just a matter of seconds. I am still gutted we couldn't hold on, more so because we were so close to having the perfect finish. We better absolutely dick palace now.
