what did NB have to say about the performance today--was he satisfied and is he still confident of the play offs
Was just about to start this thread myself. What did the clueless little midget have to say about this one? He was proud how we still kept wanting the ball, the young lads did a great job, they're only young so we need to be patient, well still keep going as the playoffs aren't mathematically impossible.
Nah he was right down the dumps like, sounded like a beaten man to me who did'nt know what to do next. Sounded like he was ready to step down to me jobs turning out to be a lot harder than he thought is my guess
Was philosophical in his post match with Burnsie. Left frustrated that we had most of the possession but failed to trouble their defence. Seemed to point the finger at some players not putting a shift in (wouldn't defend these players and said it was inexcusable) - Stewart & Brady? Two lefties CBs in Bradley (who he praised ) and Cooper (who he didn't partic with the pen) not ideal also. Just about pride from now on..
Ok guys, this is all too a familiar scenario, but don't get too heavy on Nick. What about this, Nick still in charge next season with Phil Brown No.2, providing of course Phil would agree, and Nick of course.
I cant wait to see Brady leave. I know some hold him up as an immense talent who we should sign but frankly I think he is total sh1t. Indeed are any of the loans bar Mannone worth another try? I'd say not. We can trim our bloated squad by a good 9 or 10 in the summer.
Theres a sh1t article if you google on Barmby from 2004 in the Observer. Not going to put it up but this sums us up. "But Barmby's is a contradictory story, on and off the pitch. The pattern of his professional life is one of highly impressive starts for club and country, before his form, for whatever reason, falls away." Sound familiar.
Your post started off well but then you had to mention the B word. You're right about not getting too heavy on Nick, he's doing his best but at the moment he's finding it tough. The last thing he'd need is PB as his No2. I don't know if you was being serious but Brownie's ego wouldn't allow him to come back here as anyones number two. Brownie is in the past, best leave him there.
I was going on the experience level only not personalities but I know what you are saying, it was only a suggestion after all.
Blimey - to criticise Barmby's career is unbelievable - everyones a expert once the result don't come up to expectations.. I do think NB needs a strong No2 - when I went to Derby for Nicks first game in charge I wondered who his No 2 (Stuart Watkiss?) was and what credentials he had.. Steve Wigley is the coach and doesn't want to manage again I inderstand. I do feel Nick needs a strong older head in the way PB had with BH.. hopefully AP and the Allams can address this..
if barmby was told funds were available and it turns out there wont be, i wouldnt be surprised if he walked in the summer, its a big job anyway for an inexperienced manager but even harder with no money...
He's apparently been quoted 'Whoever is in charge of Hull City next season has a big job on their hands' or something along the lines of that. Anyone know if true?
I can 100% tell you that while Nick is in charge, Wigley will be his no2, and it was only when Wigley's contract was sorted that NB took the job full time.
how about barmby in charge next season with wigley et al, plus their own wheeler dealings through the Summer? why speculate on anything else?
how about barmby in charge next season with wigley et al, plus their own wheeler dealings through the Summer? why speculate on anything else? oh and a new playing surface with greater maintenance investment has to be a priority!
