A few years of solidity in the Championship, looking to build the club very slowly.

Of course we'll have to be careful that we don't continue the form of late into next season.

No promotion for quite some time I think.

Normal service (for the majority of the time I've suported City) resumed. Championship and below........

Such doom and gloom - just six matches ago we won 3-0 at Cardiff, moved to 5th in the table and everyone was saying we we're looking good for a tilt at the PL.

HT at home to Soton and we lose Robbie Koren and soon after that James Chester followed by Jack Hobbs.

The team was performing because we've had no injuries up to that time - Mad March put paid to that.

The replacements haven't been good enough whilst others such as Stewrt and Brady for whatever reason have been very poor.

Hopefully move on the big earners in McSane Oli Ghilas and regroup. NB and the Club have earmarked four or five players they want to bring in the summer.

    Keep the faith.

Nice to see a positive post! That's not having a go at people's posts over the last couple of weeks as views given are largely correct, just nice to see a positive post!

a more realistic opinion would be that regardless of "mad march" and the very recent injuries, we've been below average most of the season in midfield, out on the wings & upfront. we do not score enough goals to get out of this league and its only thanks to a very good back 4 that we've been able to keep within arms reach of the play off places all season.

suddenly our only creative player koren is injured and we carry even less of an attacking threat in games, then our 2 CB's get injured and we're seen for what we are. a below average team with 3 or 4 great individuals.

Wouldn't disagree too much with that.. Reading have moved up a gear after we beat them in Feb - due in no small part to a little bit of investment in Le Fondre and Jason Roberts that has given them the edge in eeking out wins late on in matches and their almost unbeaten run to the top of the league.

The difference between them and us is that they have now balanced their books since their time in the PL and we have yet to complete this exercise.. thus the lack unfortunately of more signings in the jan window.

A realistic view of the division is that most teams are either average in all positions, or have some strong areas and some weak areas. We had a strong defence and a weak attack, there'll be others with it the other way round.

I said most teams, when we're talking about making the playoffs you can have 5 teams better than you.

What I meant was 7-8 years ago we would have all jumped at our current position.

If we consolidate in the Championship for 3-4 years I won't be unhappy at all.

Wherever we end up it's been an interesting season, promotion is not the only measure of success. I just hope that we can get back to the attacking play that NB had us playing to start with.

The Championship is a great place considering where we have been in the last 20 years.

12 points and we could still make the play-offs......
