A new company took over the running of Leeds. They did not agree a CVA and were punished accordingly. They were at no point liquidated. So I'll ask again what on earth a new club would be punished for?
Blind faith has and had you lot believing David Murray was good for Rangers. David Murray is and was a con man who ran Rangers into the ground and bought the Scottish media along with him by his use of succulent steaks. Murray exited Rangers after he had bled them for all he could and left stupid Whyte carrying the can. Whyte may be stupid but he is also greedy and he continued Murray's bad managing the club until Rangers are in the position that they are now in. HMRC will do whatever they can to punish Rangers as much as possible, to teach many EPL teams a lesson. All over the last 10 years and more your lot hero worshipped David Murray. Fools Fools.
Leeds were not liquidated because they moved to a NewCo, the original company founded in 1920 did though. Company Name LEEDS UNITED ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL CLUB LIMITED (THE) Company Number 00170600 Category Private Limited Company Status Liquidation Country of Origin United Kingdom Incorporation Date 02/10/1920 Registered Address KPMG LLP 1 THE EMBANKMENT NEVILLE STREET LEEDS LS1 4DW SIC Codes 9262 - Other sporting activities
Why are you presenting this information as being any way relevant? The new company who took on Leeds took on their liabilities. A football club formed to fill the vacuum of Rangers will not. So for the final time. What on earth a new club would be punished for?
Because they did not take on the liabilities. The sale to the new company was completed without the agreement of a CVA.
The club is the same one. Do you understand that? Failing to agree a CVA matters not one jot to that. It did not mean liquidation. I am going to take it that you cannot explain why a completely new football club would be relegated for no reason at all.
Of course its the same club! But you do realise that if Rangers (company) do go down the liquidation route, Rangers (club) will be bought as an asset and transfered to a NewCo prior to the Company being liquidated. Thats the point.
When Rangers (Company) are Liquidated. Then they are dead. Their history stops there. It cannot be added to. A brand spanking new football club will be formed and you will all try to convince yourself that you are not walking round in dead mans clothes. History is linear and cannot be inherited.
Difference is the tax man has more than 25% of the value of the debt. He can do whatever the **** he wants to you, so kiss your history goodbye as he is out to punish all football clubs.
The 25% is to block the CVA. Which they shall do. By their own procedures they don't do deals with crooks. Liquidation is the only option. Always has been. Rangers will be dead and "Operation delude ourselves" will be underway.
Guys im not arguing! The HMRC can force liquidation. You do know that liquidation means that the assets will be sold though, not destroyed! The club is the assets. All the assets are put up for sale prior to the club being liquidated. This is when Rangers would be moved to a NewCo. God you guys are a bit slow on the uptake aint you! Tell you what, ill post a bigger description of what happens on the other thread. Be warned though, it will be quite in depth.
Yes, but the sale needs to be to the tax man's satisfaction. There is no guarentee's that it will all be sold as one complete package. It's what ever gets the most money to the creditors, and the tax man will be sure to remove craig whyte as a secured creditor as they hate him. So i don't see it how its still rangers when you are playing in a new stadium (hampden most likely) with a new name and an entire new team.
Guys, The sale of assets is conducted by the liquidator, the HMRC has no say in it. The person who buys the 'goodwill' is the one who has bought Rangers. Even if they plan to play them in their local sunday league, its still rangers. Obviously the bidders with realistic intent will blow these bidders out of the water. The goodwill includes the name, so there is no reason we would need to change the name of the club. Yes the company need to change its name, just like in the Leeds case. The stadium is the big question depending on if whyte gets security.
I think you'll find they do have a say in the liquidation sale. They can block it if the liquidator is not accepting the best offer for the creditors. So they can block a sale if the liquidator is trying to sell to a particular company and is not trying to achieve the best return for the creditors.
Mitre In words that maybe even you will understand. If Rangers are liquidated then they are f.cked. End of the story. We don't need any big long winded explanation by yourself. We have managed quite well this season up to now without you. So creep down into your pit and leave us alone.
