They are all mid-table standard bar ferguson.

Bring back Benitez now and let him buy young Spanish players with huge potential. We've been sliding since he left and it's time we put our tails in between our legs and call Rafa. There's no better manager that's available at the moment.

We'll continue to slide down if we don't get Rafa back ASAP. Kenny is out of his depth.

Well, the only thing I can explain in Kenny's passive personality after performances that are obviously not good enough is that he knows he is gone in the summer...so you don't have to worry about that. <ok>

There is a reason why he hasn't had an outburst like the one after the Bolton game.

I think we could do well playing up on the south american link in our team.

As for manager, if we change, Rafa should not be seen as the only option. To risky. He could do it, but we have to make sure we're not just being romantic again.

Other options: Slavan Bilic, Frank Rijkaard, Guss Hiddink, Joachim Löw, Jurgen Klinsmen, Zinadine Zidane, Ralf Rangnick.

To attract managers like that we would just have to show ambition and backing from the owners, as well as some freedom.

Well my post wasn't entirely conjured upon facts was it? I've even said I would see Kenny for another season. But there is not much fight or passion going on...more like resignation. Do you think he will be with us at the start of next season? Honestly?

Rangnick would be an awful choice. He has Post-viral fatigue syndrome! he wouldn't last 5 mins in the prem, Hiddink is happy earning mega bucks with Anzi and Klinsmen has just settled in to life as the US manager.

My choices would be Benitez, AVB, Low or Bilic at a push

Zidane isn't a manager and he is deeply involved at Madrid.
    Klinsmann is USA coach.

Europa League will make it hard to bring anyone of that caliber.

I disagree with that last sentence. If a club provides the manager with the right funds, can show them what their vision is and has a half decent squad, I think they could attract anyone (par Guardiola, Mourinho, Fergie & Wenger). Our squad isn't horrific, we can provide funds for new players, we're financially stable and we can offer a manager a decent salery. John Henry is also a bit of a schmoze so i'm sure he could talk a decent manager in to the job

I disagree. Apart from a few I have listed mostly younger, more ambitious managers, who will fancy a big project. Much like Mancini at City (who had already tasted some of the high life with Inter).

And I didn't like the ideas AVB was showing at Chelsea. Though Chelsea are full of ego's, which I think is what stopped him from succeeding.

I think managers care more about finance, backing and ambition than walking straight into a Champions League job.

Sorry Zingy, I reacted more than considered the content of your post.

There's not really a lot kenny can do with the squad with the injuries that he has and the obvious loss of confidence. There appears very little point than to state the perfectly obvious - we weren't as good as we should have been but we were too good for them because we absolutely battered them!

It's just frustration building upon frustration.

If we get Bielsa we can keep up our tradition of being a cup team.

    Just saying.

I am not so sure about this. While your squad is woeful you are Liverpool. One of the biggest brands in world football. There is no hiding that. You could attract a decent enough manager.

If we are to change manager, I would like a strong older manager, who the players fear. The players look far to comfortable, and this could be a result of Dalglish being too pally with the players. Joining five-a-sides. He seems like a put your arm around the shoulder type. Looks like the players need a good kick up the arse the way they are underperforming.

I dont think age matters as long as they have the right presence and authority. I dont want some one who will retire in 5 years.

The level of ignorance this article reaches put it on a par with the way some of the media try to pick an England manager. There are plenty of good British players and managers. Our challenge is about getting quality from office to pitch based on credentials not passport. Hope our club sorts itself out because in the meantime we're just sinking further into the mud.
