They commited 13 fouls to our 11 and we both had 2 bookings but yeah, I take your point.

The point IS they did it trying to play football (under any circumstances) with arguably inferior players to yours.
Your manager seems to be of the opinion that we're better than you and that tripe is the only way he can get a point.

If you are happy with that style of play (I know we wouldn't be, especially at home) good luck to you.

We're 3rd pal Why would I be bitter?

Dempsey's got another one for Fulham. 14 in the league, 20 in total.
They'll do well to keep hold of him in the summer, in my opinion.

  7. He's a strange one, Dempsey
Consistently gets goals but looking average most of the time. Obviously there's something to him but probably why he has stayed at that level for so long?

And another! I personally think he's matured with age.

Disagree. Dempsey's been brilliant all season and has had a good last couple of seasons too.

Fulham operate below the radar - the only reason Saha popped up on MUPLC's was scoring a couple of goals against them - coupled to the fact Dempsey isn't English so his performances aren't magnified in the press.

We bid for him awhile back, I recall but balked at Fulham's valuation which was somewhere between 10 and 15mill.

  14. No offence but I am guessing you either didn't see the game or had some probs focussing through your rose-tinted specs.....

You made Stoke look entertaining today

The stats are embarrassing reading for us, as with all the possession, once again we fail to break teams down and look rather clueless.

As for sunderland, yes they are a dirty team, have no real shame in the way they commit cynical fouls but there job isn't to get hammered, it is to stop the opposition playing and hope for a goal on the break so no point in arguing with their fans as that is how there manager sets out the team.

Back to ourselves, this formation we have, when lennon is out, just isn't good enough to break teams down, especially away from home and there was no need to play two holding players as we needed sunderland to have some of the attacking play so we could have space to get behind their defence.

Instead we dominated the game, restricted sunderland to set pieces but when we had the ball we couldn't break down their defence and at times it is ridiculous that with all the attacking talent we have, we cant make use of it.

There was a moment in the first half when VDV shot on goal with his right, but when he went to shoot, he took two sunderland defenders with him yet if he was thinking quicker he could have played ADE in for a one on one and I knew then there was no chance of us scoring as the players were making all the wrong decisions when attacking.

I was at the game, I thought you played liked Swansea lots of possession in you own half hardly ashot on our goals, I have not see the stats yet but I bet we had more shots and corners and you had more fouls cos. Foy as per usual was in Harry I pay tax when I want, had him in his back pocket. CL you are having a laugh only monkey face looks class and he had a quiet game today.
