As a player he was fantastic and score vital goals for us but as a manager i think he's bitter towards Sir Alex Ferguson i don't know why, it must've been hios time when he was manager at Man City that all changed to me and most United fans, he also said today Man city will win the title in the near future, i think he's ruined his chances of managing us with his comments towartds us and the manager, don't get me wrong, he was an excellent player for us but you watch tomorrow he'll be bitter ( no offence QPR fans ).
Agreed, I don't see many on here doubting Roy Keane's legendary status whilst at United despite the feud between him and Fergie.
Hughes did well at Wales and Blackburn tbh. He was given little time at City but for me he did damage his reputation at Fulham by walking away.
This. Tbh he hasn't ruined his chances of managing us by his comments. He's ruined them by not being a good enough manager.
I must say I have a soft spot for every player who played for us over the years, even though some of them were desperate at times and we were in the doldrums. Hughes has always been a favourite of mine and contributed a lot to our successes. I am certain he didn't mean anything malicious but he is a professional and has to do the best for his team. He has to do his best to get a result tomorrow. And on the subject of City he is only saying what many observers are saying. The only way he could get in my bad books is to ... manage the scousers. doubt that will ever happen somehow...
You don't half talk some utter tosh. He IS a United legend, end of story. This might have been before your time kid but his effort, commitment and dedication to United as a player means that even if he walked onto the middle of the pitch during a game and shat in the centre circle he would still be a ****ing legend. No, he isn't bitter toward Fergie. At all. And he said that City would win the league soon because, guess what, they will you bloody noob.
