If he hasn't got the players to play the system then he should be playing a different system until he has had that luxury.
No idea what the hell's happened to Strov.. suddenly he's possibly the biggest **** on the board. As for the youth team.. make 11 changes to todays side and play them vs Boro. They've got to be an improvement on the current pile of ****.
We should give some of them a chance in the first team for the remaining games. The play offs have gone. Might as well blood a few youngsters. They cant do much worse than the senior players at the moment (Fryatt, Mclean in particular).
Nail on the head. Why try and play pretty football when we havent got the players and we start losing. It is better to win ugly and 1- 0 like Nigel did then to play pretty football and get beaten.
I'm worried that we agree given the majority of your posts. But my thinking is: Barmby wants us to play nice football in a 4231, and it's a nice idea that I'm sure I'd enjoy. Despite not having several players needed for that system he's persisting with it and we're playing crap football with shattered players. Now by comparison most of us probably want to drive round in a Ferrari and sleep with supermodels every night. I think it's a nice idea and I'm sure we'd enjoy it. We don't have the money for the Ferrari or the looks needed to pull the supermodels so we don't, because the results would be prison sentences for car theft and rape. Instead we acknowledge that and drive normal cars and sleep with who ever lets us because that way we still get where we want to go and sex, and we'll keep doing that until we win the lottery.
