Those watching the 1.35 Kempton today may think they are seeing things.
The Andrew Reid owned and trained MODERN SOCIETY is a coloured horse. Very rare you see a Thoroughbred "pikey pony" and he says it has ability!

Presenting Ace in the 2.55 at Haydock. This could be on a very tasty mark me thinks and is a whopping 16-1. Having run behind Oscar Nominee, Darlan and Montbazon in novice hurdles, Presenting Ace disappointed on handicap debut on Imperial Cup day. That was an ultra competitive Grade 3 handicap though. He subsequently ran 3rd in a handicap at Market Rasen but I do think that the two horses ahead of him that day will be winning again. The winner, Union Island, was on handicap debut that day and had a first time 7lb claimer on board to boot. He opposes again today 5lbs worse off than last time. The 2nd that day was going for a four timer having won his previous race 10L "heavily eased". I fancy he might still be ahead of the handicapper. What's more, Presenting Ace has first time blinkers on today and with £32k for the winner I wonder if we might see real improvement for the Pipe horse.

Anyone be watching the boat race on the tele? It starts not far from where I reside but shamefully I've never been to watch it live. Looking at the weather, today won't be the day that I break that habit!

Just one for me today. Fanshawe has one horse entered at Kempton and it is king Kieren's only ride of the meeting. Captivator - 2.40 Kempton.

Interesting money for Hats Off in the first, I wonder if John has got his horses forward this season.

Hannon's will improve for that run too. A race that could work out well but the winner is very smart!
