Does anyone think if we finish 5th and show we're maybe capable of pushing for CL in a year or so, do you reckon we could lure Kuyt from Liverpool? I think he could be extremely useful in Europe and also if we do defy the odds in the coming years and get into the CL. He's a great player that can play anywhere. RM, LM, CM, CAM and as a second striker. I know he's getting on a bit but we could use a man whos experienced at this sort of level, and he could get use vital goals and play a part in the team. What do you think? We could use players like this, as we will need to rotate a lot and we need greater squad depth. I think we could get him for 6/7m. He is a work horse. Works hard in attack and defence. He's basically like Liverpool's Jonas', except he's more of a goal threat.
To put it simply, no thanks. He's like 31 or something and there's way better options out there for 7m.
If he was younger, definitely. But he doesn't really fit in with the age we're going for and has no resale value, also his wages would be quite high. Decent shout if he was 24-25. Always rated him.
He always feels like a threat, hes an asset sure. But....he is too old, slow, also high wages, would want first team football and 6 million? thats dumb We are a clever, measured club now.
A great player with a proper work ethic. Put some of these younger players to shame... BUT, as pointed out age isn't on his side so you could do better imo. Not sure where the OP gets LM from? Not once played that position as far as I know. He was always a striker before he moved to the PL then he became a right winger or a second striker. You could do a lot worse though, as experience is vital in Europe.
NO NO NO! Apart from the fact he looks like sloth cross bevis he simply is too old now and not better than what we already have.

Got to say I saw a similar article on the Sunderland board here earlier and was thinking if I was a Sunderland fan I wouldn't have him got to say same with us. Not the type of player either team needs.
Too old. Also, why is everyone convinced he's leaving Liverpoo. Once Suarez goes this summer he'll be their best forward.
IMO Kuyts one of the most under-rated players in the prem. BUT he's not the sort of player we would sign, even if Liverpool would sell.
Great squad player, works hard and has scored some vital goals over the years. Wished that we'd signed him in when we were going for the likes of Martins and Luque, but both Cisse and Ba appear capable of doing the same kind of work rate now. If he was free, i'd be happy for him to take Lovenkrands spot in the squad alongside Best and Ameobi (x2).
Just read he might be allowed to leave for as low as 1 mill, If he took a wage cut I would take him for that
