http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/12691/7653629/Trio-targeting-Jennings Says 2 Championship clubs are looking at him and he is available on a free transfer. Sounds like our kind of target, especially if we can get rid of Cairney/Olofinjana.
He's too old so it can't be him, but as they were both at Tranmmere is he related to that other Jennings kid, the one everyone was raving about despite him being so right footed he made Cairney look like he was comfortable on both feet.
Ricardo i like your posts but why the fuk is TC always questioned about his right foot. Dawson is loathe to use his right. No one ever mentions Evans', Mckenna's Hobbs' etc lack of a left foot. Cairney has scored a goal with that right foot against Bradford i think pre season.
Many great players are one footed so I don't think this is so important, what I don't like about TC is he looks slow and ponderous.
I dont like the fact Cairney can get out of tight spaces in midfield and always comes away with the ball. Oh and i find it maddening the way he always finds his man when passing. Im always puzzled when Barmby chooses to actualy play our most gifted midfielder. Oh and now seems to have got better in his defensive duties, the flash bastard. Get rid !
Never in the history of man has one sentence produced so much ****e! You are the worlds wrongest man!
Yes it was a joke. Sorry Doggy It was an attempt at being the wrongest man in the world,so i can't have done too badly
Yeah he bought a packet of Swan safety matches and as he walked out the shop he fell and one snapped in half. He went back in and bought some super glue and fixed it back together on the bench outside. I'll get my coat...
His one footed play clearly didn't stop interest from one of the giants of European football, as he ended up signing for Bayern Munich. Not too much of a hindrance, I think you'll agree.
Because I needed a player that's universally acknowledged as only having one foot in order for the hyperbole to work. Not too much of a hinderance to his bank balance, I don't know how he's doing for them though so I couldn't comment on whether it's hindering his performances and the move is being seen as a mistake or not. I would expect if anybody is worried about him though their defenders will be instructed to keep him on his left foot, there was a lot of criticism of Dawson recently for not trying to do something similar, and that was with a player that doesn't seem to do anything possible to avoid touching the ball with his other foot.
You don't do short replies. Either way one footed, he has still been signed by one of the biggest clubs in Europe. I'd say that is more indicative of his ability, than been able to play with both feet.
Not very often no. Unless he's playing for their first team it's indicative of his potential rather than his ability. Taking Cairney as an example we've both seen play. If I was involved in recruitment for one of the big clubs, after we were relegated I'd have been looking to recruit him on the basis of his technical ability and the way he'd been standing up to players like de Jong and Vieira, but there'd be a lot of work to be done, so if he'd been a few years older I wouldn't ave looked at him twice. I don't consider him a particularly good player at the moment because if I were an opposition manager my instructions to his marker would be simple, don't try and tackle him just keep him on his right foot, unless it's a L2 side he'll be no threat that way. It's not just that he's one footed, it's that he does everything possible to avoid using the right foot for even the simple things like controlling the ball. We should be working that out of him in training so that he can become a valuable member of the squad rather than one that regularly falls below expectations. (coaching and/or attitude the problem with him doing that) The argument about Dawson/McKenna/Evans being one footed as well is quite a moot point. Their primary function in the team is to destroy the opposition attacks and play a simple ball to the more attacking players. They can and do play those passes with their wrong feet and defending they shoulld be pplaying the opposition onto their weak side rather than thinking about their own strengths. I certainly can't think of a goal they've cost us by refusing to play the ball with their wrong feet.

I'm not even going to bother loading the list, because at no point have I said that it's impossible to be a top player who only uses one foot. Neither Cairney nor Jennings are world beaters, if they were they wouldn't be spending most of their time sitting on the subs bench or in the reserves for their clubs. In Jennings case i doubt either of us have seen him play, but we've both seen Cairney play and there's no denying that the fact he acts as though if his right foot touches the ball his dick is going to fall off has cost us plenty of attacking opportunities. As he's not currently a world beater it's an issue that hinders his chances of playing. Back to your list though, had they been coached into being able to use both feet which of those players would be worse than they were/are? And how many would have been even better?
