Think he wanted to play in the Premier League (or so we was told), but then again promotion was a must according to Bates and in January when he was sold we were level with Reading so promotion was still there if we had added to the squad. The lad from the academy must have had no faith in the club achieving promotion in the near future especially considering he was local and supported the club. Nah it was good business, which lets face it all Leeds United exists for with Bates running the club, forget the football side of it, the returns from investment are more risky and probably less if you focus on the football side. You have to ask the question though, why was it good business? Answer: Obvious, his contract was running out and we risked losing him on a free. Here's something to consider, would it have been better business if we had offered him a competitive wage, kept our other top performers (Gradel and Johnson) and signed quality players capable of promotion to persuade him that is future is with Leeds United? I think it would, but then again Bates knows best and is always 100% spot on and if anything goes wrong it's always somebody else's fault.
I'm sure I saw a video of this Jimmy Henson, it can't have been him though because he'd just signed for Delia FC or Norfolk Canaries or something like that, and was doing an interview... he didn't look very happy to be there.
